Along with the rapid development of the global economy as well as infor mation about the global spread of human civilization and accelerating the spe ed of different countries, exchanges and contacts between different ethnic gro ups are getting closer. All peoples living in different geographic environments,with different experiences and cultural and historical background, terms of th e country’s overall level of economic and political system, and have a big diff erence, these elements are constituted a major factor in today’s society and cul tural exchanges. Need cross-cultural exchange, while understanding local tabo os and sensitive issues, which is the cross-cultural communication aspects nee d to focus on.In recent years, in the international arena continues to strengthen ASEAN’s influence on China’s development process has made a great contrib ution and encouragement. 2013, China and ASEAN Expo, China and the ASE AN Investment Summit has been held for a decade, during which China and ASEAN has brought great opportunities for development, and create a good p rospect. But because very different Southeast Asian countries and China there are many ways in religion, social etiquette, so mutual exchanges resulted in a greater obstacle. Under the new situation, more understanding and knowledge of Southeast Asian countries, people in various regions of the customs, taboo s, etc., to enhance mutual understanding between China and ASEAN countrie s, it is necessary to broaden our horizons.Combined with its own understandin g of the culture of the Southeast Asian countries, from China- ASEAN coope ration in communication perspective, to discuss the issue on the Southeast Asi an cultural taboos, and research aimed at better understanding the cultural differences and taboos Southeast Asian countries and, finally, an environment co nducive to China- ASEAN exchanges and cooperation Implications and reco mmendations.
