| Since the outbreak of the epidemic,schools and teachers have actively carried out online teaching work in response to the slogan of the Ministry of Education of "no suspension of classes".Chinese characters,as the foundation of Chinese language learning,have always been a focus and difficulty for teachers in international Chinese language education.Due to changes in the teaching environment and limitations of online teaching platforms,teachers may encounter some problems when teaching Chinese characters online in the classroom.This study is based on the MOOC platform to explore new ways for teachers to teach Chinese characters online.By utilizing the advantages of the MOOC platform,the teaching effect of online classrooms can be achieved with high efficiency.Firstly,this study elaborates on the feasibility and necessity of online Chinese character teaching based on the MOOC platform.By comparing the teaching methods of offline and online Chinese character teachers,the key and difficult points of Chinese character teaching are grasped.Secondly,this paper uses questionnaire survey and teaching case analysis method to conduct online survey and teaching practice for overseas students studying online.By investigating the basic situation of international students,their motivation to learn Chinese characters,their attitudes towards learning Chinese characters,and their learning situation in online Chinese character classes,we have gained an understanding of the actual situation of international students learning Chinese characters online and the problems that teachers encounter in the process of teaching Chinese characters online,Further analyze the reasons for the problems in online Chinese character classes.Then,taking into account the advantages of online teaching on the MOOC platform,the author proposed corresponding teaching measures and methods for the problems existing in online Chinese character classes,and designed teaching cases for online Chinese character courses.Afterwards,a teaching practice was conducted on international students to test the feasibility and effectiveness of the hybrid teaching method based on the MOOC platform in online Chinese character teaching.After the teaching practice,the author used questionnaire survey and comparative analysis methods to compare the survey data before and after teaching,as well as the test data before and after teaching,to understand the teaching effect of blended teaching.The author also reflected on this teaching practice and analyzed the effectiveness and shortcomings of this teaching practice.Compared to previous online Chinese character teaching,students’ initiative and enthusiasm in the classroom have improved,and their academic performance has also significantly changed.This indicates that the MOOC platform has certain benefits for teachers’ online Chinese character teaching.Finally,it is hoped that this study can provide reference for future Chinese language teachers to further improve online Chinese character teaching,and also provide ideas for future research on online Chinese character teaching methods. |
