Qinqiang opera has a long history and unique regional cultural characteristics, and has had a very profound influence on the development of Chinese opera. In the context of the strategy of "culture going global",opera culture is an important window for China to showcase its excellent traditional culture to the world.Qinqiang opera,as an important part of Chinese opera, deserves to go to the world as one of the representatives of Chinese culture. At present,Beijing opera and Kunqu are the main types of opera exported to the world, and the translation of Qinqiang opera can effectively solve the problem of too few types of opera in the foreign export of Chinese opera culture,so that the world can see Chinese opera culture in a more comprehensive and stereoscopic way.The language characteristics of Qinqiang opera Du Fu are similar to those of Chinese poetry. Each line is similar in length and rhyme and has a high literature character,so the author of this report adopts Mr.Xu Yuanchong’s Three Beauties Theory as a guiding theory for this translation practice, which is said to be the highest standard of poetry translation, and therefore it is very suitable to be a guide for translating Qinqiang opera’s poetic lyrics. In this report, the translator selects the representative lyrics of the Qinqiang opera from the original text as the object of study, explores their commonalities with the poetry, and demonstrates the feasibility of the Three Beauties theory in guiding the translation of Qinqiang opera. This report focuses on three aspects:beauty in sense, beauty in sound, and beauty in form, and then analyzes the relevant examples in the play to show how to use the Three Beauties Theory to guide the practice of translating Qinqiang opera and reproduce the beauty of the original text.Through specific case studies, this report proposes corresponding translation methods for the difficult points of Qinqiang opera translation, focusing on balancing the aesthetic differences between the translation and the original text and making use of the respective features and advantages of the English and Chinese languages to improve the overall aesthetics of the translation. The translator hopes that this research can promote the foreign dissemination of Qinqiang opera culture, and at the same time can be of some reference for other opera translators, promote the development of Chinese opera translation, and better extend excellent Chinese traditional culture beyond national culture.
