"Not forgetting the original intention,remembering the mission",on the way of rejuvenation of the Chinese nation,we must adhere to the leadership of the Communist Party of China and Marxism,and the study of Marx Engels’ theory of civilizational form will help to sort out and integrate Marxist philosophy and Marxist theory,and provide theoretical support for the process of Marxist Sinicization in the new era.Marx and Engels did not explicitly take civilizational form as a systematic field of study in the literature,but it is not difficult to find that Marx and Engels’ theoretical ideas on civilizational form are scientific and systematic by carefully combing Marx and Engels’ works.Marx Engels’ theory of civilizational form takes capitalist civilizational form as the main object of study.Against the background of political and economic turmoil and the encounter of various trends of thought such as Morgan’s civilizational origin and ideal socialism,Marx Engels’ theory of civilizational form has gone through the budding stage,development stage and finally matured into the study of the development path of complete civilizational form,forming a scientific theory of human civilizational form.The stages and long-term nature are the important development characteristics of civilizational forms,which are driven by the dynamics of labor,two types of production,class struggle,human historical and practical activities and civilizational integration,from "human dependence on human beings"(primitive,slave and feudal forms of civilization),"human dependence on things"(industrial,capitalist civilization)to the stage of "free development of man"(communist civilization).The progress of civilization is the basic trend of the development of civilization forms.During the development of the unification tendency,Marx and Engels always emphasized the plurality and equality of civilization forms and opposed the theory of civilization hegemony.Since the 18 th National Congress,socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era,and Marx and Engels’ theory of civilizational forms has provided theoretical values for the choice of the "Chinese modernization road" and the direction of the world socialist movement.The proposal and creation of the "Community of Human Destiny" and the "New Form of Human Civilization" prove the correctness and science of the choice of the Chinese path of Marx and Engels’ theory of civilizational form.Before the concept of "new form of human civilization" was proposed,there were few studies in the field of Marx and Engels’ theory of civilization,and the concept of civilization was used in a vague way,but through documentary research and cross-disciplinary method,a dual research vision of time and space was formed from the vertical and horizontal levels of history and the world.Systematic analysis of the formation dynamics,ideological origin,theoretical characteristics,development direction and value orientation of Marx Engels’ theory of civilizational form can provide further thoughts for clarifying the connotation of civilizational form.
