Comprehensively implement the party’s education policy,strive to cultivate socialist builders and successors who can develop morally,intellectually,physically,aesthetically,and laboriously,carry out education activities on the core values of socialism with Chinese characteristics,and deeply implement ideological and political education in the curriculum,so as to deeply practice the grand goal of cultivating morality and cultivating people.It is particularly important to strengthen the ideological and political education function of college English professional courses,guide the majority of college English majors to establish correct values,and form the ability to distinguish right from wrong and save losses.When learning English professional knowledge and foreign culture,take its essence and remove its waste,so as to achieve critical acceptance of it and inherit and carry forward China’s excellent traditional culture.College English professional literature and literature related course is a very important part of it,such courses are mostly foreign film and television works and literary works,to domestic English students to introduce a large number of foreign cultures,including various Western mainstream culture,cultural export characteristics are particularly significant,so in such courses to strengthen the integration of ideological and political elements and carry out scientific implementation is crucial.This study used a variety of methods,such as literature analysis in the preliminary preparation and investigation process.Through reading a large number of materials,in-depth analysis of the research topic,and a detailed determination of the relevant concepts involved.In the actual research stage,questionnaire surveys and structured interviews were conducted with 480 English majors and 24 teachers of English major literature courses in four universities in China.After analyzing the results of the questionnaire survey and the feedback of the interview content,the current situation and existing problems of ideological and political construction of the current courses of English major literature in colleges and universities were mastered,and the reasons for the problems were analyzed,starting from the aspects of schools,teachers and students,and the different views of different participants on the ideological and political construction of the curriculum were analyzed.The survey results show that some achievements have been made in the ideological and political construction of English major literature and literature related courses in colleges and universities,but there are still some problems that need to be solved urgently,such as the corresponding supervision and management of colleges and universities,teacher education concepts,students’ political cognition,etc.In view of these problems,the study puts forward some feasible measures from the level of leadership management,lesson construction,teachers and students,aiming to provide ideas for the ideological and political construction of courses in English professional literature in colleges and universities.
