The paper is a report on remote consecutive interpreting of the seminar on the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor.Lasting from October 19,2021,to November 2,2021,the interpretation task involved Chinese to English and English to Chinese twoway interpretation. The seminar aimed to share the latest research results on Chinese port logistics with other countries and promote the sustainable development of the participating countries’ maritime shipping, port, and logistics industries.Based on the Interpretive Theory, the author analyzes the strategies she used in her interpretation practice from the following perspectives: context understanding and reasonable speculating;information supplement;subtraction;logic processing, and sentence restructuring. The biggest challenges presented by remote interpreting are an increase in feelings of isolation and alienation due to the inability of face-to-face interpersonal communication. The report also summarizes some suggestions for interpreters to better cope with the remote interpreting and finally further adapt to the market.
