| Inclusive education is a new educational concept and process aimed at providing teachers or schools with an operational training guide to carry out a series of educational activities.This practice material is excerpted from Chapter 1of the Teacher Manual of School-based and Classroom-based Activities to Support All Learners,which mainly discusses various measures of high-quality inclusive education.The translation has a total of 17,168 words.This report applies Huang Zhongliang’s Variation variation theory,analyzing the source text from the perspectives of lexical,syntactic and discourse levels,and conducts case studies.At the lexical level: the translator uses the methods of paraphrasing,adding,and deleting in the translation variation theory to process abbreviations and terminology,thus achieving clear and precise conve yance of the original information.At the syntactic level: the translator selects the methods of edited translation,narrated translation,and condensed translation in the translation variation theory to process compound sentences,special sentences,and long and difficult sentences so as to achieve clear sentence logic and distinct levels.At the discourse level: the translator uses the methods of merging and translation plus rewriting in the translation variation theory to simplify complex discourses,making the content simple and clear and enhancing the readability of the translated text.This practice report takes the relatively mature domestic research results on inclusive education as the starting point and summarizes the language characteristics of educational texts and proposes practical and effective translation methods under the guidance of the translation theory.This translation practice enriches translation experience,improves understanding ability,and confirms the feasibility of applying trans lation variation theory to the translation of similar texts,providing a certain reference and inspiration for other translators in applying this translation theory.The translator hopes that this practice will be helpful to practitioners in this field and provide information resources for carrying out inclusive education in our country. |
