Along with the improvement of Chinese international influence,Chinese culture is more and more valued by Chinese learners.However,the way to effectively integrate Chinese culture into the Chinese education system to achieve good educational results is a very difficult task.As we all know,language and culture are inseparable,and the importance of cultural teaching is undeniable.Effective cultural teaching can promote students language learning,which is helpful in understanding conversational contexts meaning to achieve the ultimate goal of language learning.Vietnam is a China’s neighbor,and Chinese teaching has a historical inheritance.At present,Vietnamese people need to learn Chinese.Many universities have set up Chinese departments and the curriculum system is gradually enriched.Especially,Chinese culture courses in Vietnamese universities Chinese Department is listed as compulsory courses,electives,for Vietnamese students to deepen language learning,improve intercultural communication skills,understanding of Chinese culture and contemporary Chinese society will play an important role in the development.This papersorted out the establishment of Chinese culture courses in Vietnamese universities.Teachers and students from three universities,such as University of Languages and International Studies,Hanoi University and Hanoi Second Normal University,are selected as the survey objects.The actual teaching situation of Chinese culture courses in Vietnamese is analyzed basing on the questionnaire survey method to summarize the characteristics,reveal the problems,and explore the needs.Chinese teachers and students generally were found to believe that the limited cultural class time,the cultural old content,lack of attractiveness,and has a limited role in stimulating learning interest;cultural teaching methods are monotonous,teaching resources are insufficient,and the lack of Chinese cultural experience design,etc.These problems have affected the high-quality development of Chinese education in Vietnam to some extent and need to be solved.Based on the above issues,combined with classroom observation,literature study and experience summary,this paper submits opinions and suggestions on the manufacture of cultural curriculum system,the research and development of teaching materials,the improvement of teacher’s humanistic literacy and teaching methods,hoping to be beneficial to the improvement of the cultural curriculum system of the Chinese Department of Vietnam and the localization development of Chinese education in Vietnam.
