Abstract/Summary:
Under "digital empowerment" teaching,international Chinese language education has entered the "digital" era.The COVID-19 pandemic has swept the globe,and the environmental pressure has dramatically promoted the digital transformation of international Chinese language education.Chinese calligraphy,a typical traditional form of writing art,embodies the rich cultural essence of Chinese history.As a carrier of Chinese culture dissemination,its development direction undoubtedly lies in "digital empowerment" in the context of international Chinese language education.The release of the "Reference Framework for Teaching Chinese Culture and National Conditions in International Chinese Education" in 2022 has guided the direction of international Chinese cultural education and provided principles to follow.For the first time,this study discusses the digital teaching of Chinese calligraphy under the guidance of the "Cultural Framework."This study takes the international Chinese classroom of the Confucius Institute at the University of Zagreb,Croatia,as the primary research object.Based on reading and analyzing relevant literature,it mainly uses questionnaire surveys and interview methods to investigate the applicability of Chinese calligraphy digital teaching in the region,creates application strategies for Chinese calligraphy digital teaching in teaching practice,reveals the problems of Chinese calligraphy digital teaching,including the limitations of the target audience and digital technology,as well as the lack of teacher competence,and gives corresponding application suggestions.Chinese calligraphy digital teaching can effectively enhance learners’ interest in learning Chinese and make them more intuitively understand and feel Chinese calligraphy’s humanistic value and philosophical connotation.Teaching Chinese stories obliviously and spreading Chinese culture are achieved in Chinese language teaching.
