| Beiyang Pictorial is a modern comprehensive pictorial magazine that integrates facts,art,novels,and pictures.Its lively form and rich content have pioneered the "Northern School Pictorial" and have had a profound impact on China’s pictorial industry.Due to its location and purpose,in the 1587 issue of Beiyang Pictorial,more attention was paid to the promotion and reporting of women’s music education in the Beijing and Tianjin regions,and the style and features of the new women’s music learning and practice activities in the Republic of China were vividly presented in an illustrated manner,which has important historical data value and reference significance for the study of women’s music education at that time.The historical data on female school music in Beiyang Pictorial covers a wide range of areas,including both Western music in the form of vocal music,opera,dance,song and dance drama,as well as traditional Chinese music dominated by opera and ethnic instruments.This article is based on the relevant reports in the Beiyang Pictorial as historical data,taking the music education in women’s schools in the Beijing and Tianjin regions as the main research object,and concluding other relevant materials during the contract period.From the establishment and development of the Beiyang Pictorial,the situation of music related materials published in the newspaper The relevant materials on music education in women’s schools in the Beijing Tianjin region published in the newspaper and the historical outlook of modern music education in women’s schools in the Beijing Tianjin region presented in the newspaper were studied in depth.The structure of the article is divided into five parts.The introduction introduces the relevant situation of the paper from the aspects of the origin,value and significance of the research,overview of the current research situation,research objects and categories,research methods and ideas,etc;The first chapter introduces the establishment and development process of Beiyang Pictorial;The second chapter sorts out the music related materials in Beiyang Pictorial;Chapter Three sorts out and analyzes the music related materials of women’s schools in Beijing and Tianjin published in Beiyang Pictorial;The fourth chapter further explores the representative female teachers and students in various female schools,in and out of school music activities,and music education published in Beiyang Pictorial,and analyzes the characteristics of music education in female schools in Beijing and Tianjin.This study takes music education in women’s schools in Beijing and Tianjin as the research object,excavates and arranges relevant content in newspapers,and analyzes other materials during the contract period on this basis.It has certain theoretical and practical value for the study of urban entertainment,women’s lives,music education,and other aspects in Beijing and Tianjin. |
