In the context of the new era of international Chinese communication,the number of international Chinese teachers going to Thailand has been increasing year by year,and new requirements have been put forward for the comprehensive quality of Chinese teachers.In the process of conducting Chinese language teaching and disseminating traditional Chinese culture,cross-cultural communication ability,as one of the important skills mastered by international Chinese language teachers,is of great significance for Chinese language teaching and cultural dissemination.International Chinese teachers visiting Thailand have good cross-cultural communication skills,which is beneficial for Chinese teachers to communicate Chinese culture in a scientific and rational way of thinking.During their tenure,they can correctly view the cultural differences between the two countries,establish cultural confidence,avoid cross-cultural conflicts during Chinese teaching,and achieve the goal of cultural exchange between the two countries.On the other hand,it is conducive to improving the cultural fitness of international Chinese teachers,improving the working efficiency of teachers,ensuring the quality of Chinese teaching,and thus promoting the smooth progress of cross-cultural communication.At present,research on the cross-cultural communication ability of international Chinese language teachers is concentrated at the macro level,and there is relatively little research on specific countries.Therefore,the survey of cross-cultural communication ability of international Chinese language teachers in Thailand is a worthwhile research topic.The main content of this article is to study the cross-cultural communication ability of international Chinese teachers in Thailand,review relevant literature at home and abroad,and conduct a survey and analysis of current and previous volunteers and public teachers in Thailand through questionnaire and interview methods.From three levels of theoretical knowledge,emotional attitude,and communication skills,a survey questionnaire and interview questions on the cross-cultural communication ability of international Chinese teachers are designed,and it is found that their teaching process The advantages and disadvantages of mastering cross-cultural communication skills in daily life and interpersonal relationships.The survey shows that the advantages of the cross-cultural communication ability of Chinese teacher volunteers in Thailand are reflected in their solid foundation in Chinese knowledge and linguistics,clear composition of traditional Chinese cultural knowledge,basic maintenance of professional confidence,and good ability to create a good classroom atmosphere.But at the same time,there are also shortcomings,which are reflected in the weak knowledge of Communication studies,the low mastery of Thai,the relatively delayed acquisition of knowledge about China’s national conditions,the high occupational pressure,the low cultural adaptation,the weak classroom organization and management,and the stylized teaching of Chinese elements.In response to its shortcomings,this article proposes relevant suggestions from both the training and personal levels,hoping to provide some reference for Chinese teacher volunteers to improve their cross-cultural communication abilities. |
