Being located in the core area of the Belt and Road Initiative,Xinjiang is the gateway of China to Central Asia and Europe,with obvious geographical advantages.Based on the general direction and regional characteristics of national development,universities in Xinjiang promote economic cooperation and cultural exchanges between China and countries along the Belt and Road,and actively implement and participate in the construction of the Belt and Road.It is necessary to explore the strategy of improving the cross-cultural communication ability of Han master students to meet the needs of the future development of Xinjiang.The author formulated the questionnaire based on the actual situation of master students of Chinese international education in Xinjiang universities,distributed the questionnaire through the wechat mini program questionnaire,conducted data analysis with the help of SPSSAU,and referred to the interviews with researchers,so as to study the cross-cultural communication ability of the respondents.Detailed analysis of the questionnaire survey and interview results,the author’s main findings: the intercultural communication ability of Chinese international education master in Xinjiang universities is in the medium level,Therefore,the author believes that improving students’ cross-cultural communication ability should be done from the following three aspects: First,on the students’ side: to comprehensively improve their communication ability;Attach importance to developing cross-cultural capabilities;Carry out the evaluation of cross-cultural communication ability;Actively participate in cross-cultural practice activities;Second,on the teachers’ side: to steadily promote the teaching reform of cross-cultural communication curriculum;Focus on the developmental evaluation of students’ ability,Strengthen targeted training in teaching;Strengthen the teaching of intercultural communication cases;Create a cross-cultural communication atmosphere;Third,the school side: we should pay attention to the construction of cross-cultural courses;Accelerate the construction of a cross-cultural communication ability measurement system;Actively explore domestic and overseas practice bases;Strengthen the construction of cross-cultural communication case database. |
