A Study On The Mobilization Of Women By Yan’an Jiefang Daily (1941-1945)

The War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression has an important historical position in modern Chinese history,and profound changes have taken place in all aspects of society.In such a special political and social background,it is particularly important for the Revolutionary cause of the Communist Party of China to mobilize women,who account for half of the population,to participate in the revolution.But at that time,as the main body of Chinese women,rural women had been living in their own villages for a long time,and the concept of the country and the nation was weak.How to mobilize them to carry out the revolution became an important issue.As the only official newspaper in the anti-japanese base area,Jiefang Daily played an important role in mobilizing women for Anti-Japanese WarBased on the reports on women’s mobilization published by Jiefang Daily from Its foundation on May 16,1941 to The surrender of Japan on August 15,1945,this study grasped the history of women’s work of the Party during the Anti-Japanese War by combining relevant documents and materials.With the help of news reports,this thesis analyzes the contents and strategies of women’s mobilization in Yan ’an Jiefang Daily,trying to answer the following questions: from what aspects did Yan ’an Jiefang Daily mobilize women? How to mobilize women to participate in the war through news reports? What are the implications of its mobilization strategies for women’s mobilization in the new era? The thesis is divided into the following six parts.In the introduction,the practical and theoretical significance of this research is firstly explained,and the research status of Yan ’an Jiefang Daily and women’s mobilization in China is summarized,and the research ideas and methods adopted in this research are introduced.Chapter one,through reading relevant works and papers,summarizes the reports on women’s mobilization in Yan ’an Jiefang Daily,and makes an overall grasp and analysis of the social and historical background of women’s mobilization,and discusses the necessity and feasibility of women’s mobilization in Jiefang Daily in the special historical context during the Anti-Japanese War.Second to chapter four,content analysis of news historical data collected from yan ’an liberation daily to select some of the more typical of the women reported cases,with a combination of historical data and analysis,respectively from the mobilization of the culture,production,military mobilization,the liberation daily in three aspects combing and analysis of the mobilization of women.The fifth chapter,from the yan ’an "Liberation Daily" women mobilization related report content and way of two aspects,explore how the newspaper mobilized women to participate in the Anti-Japanese War.The sixth chapter,on the basis of the detailed discussion above,summarizes the historical value of women’s mobilization in Yan ’an Jiefang Daily,analyzes the significance of this mobilization to the victory of the Anti-Japanese War and women’s liberation,and puts forward the practical enlightenment to women’s mobilization in the new era.The conclusion points out the shortcomings of the research and the direction for further research.
