Discussion And Supplements On A Dictionary Of Modern Chinese

The Dictionary of Modern Chinese edited by Bai Weiguo,which lasted 18 years and was compiled by many scholars,tries to show the whole origin and evolution of modern Chinese vocabulary,with perfect style,large collection of words,accurate explanations and appropriate quotations,it is the largest modern Chinese dictionary ever published and has attracted much attention.However,due to the huge workload of the dictionary compilation,made by many hands,omissions are inevitable,there is still much to be added and amended.This article mainly takes the Yuan dynasty corpus as the center,and involves some other entries,by referring to the Hanyu Da Cidian,Yuan language dictionary,Song and Yuan Language Dictionary,Xi Qu Ci Yu Xi Shi,Yuan Ju Su Yu Fang Yan Li Shi and other similar dictionaries,we can prove the relevant literature,this paper puts forward some suggestions on the collection of words,lists of items,definitions and examples in the modern Chinese dictionary,in order to provide reference for the later revision of the modern Chinese dictionary.This article is divided into six parts.The first part is the introduction,separately to this article research object,the related research summary,this article research content and the method and so on makes the combing explanation.The second part discusses the definition of some words in the modern Chinese dictionary,including the inaccurate definition and the inconsistent examples.In the third part,the author puts forward some suggestions on the definition of some words in the dictionary.The fourth part is the supplement of examples.According to the citation style of the dictionary,the author puts forward some suggestions on the first case in advance,the last case in delay,and the only case in addition.The fifth part is the addition of the entries,by referring to other dictionaries of the same kind,consulting relevant literature,the dictionary does not include the words to make additional comments.The sixth part is the conclusion,summarizes the above research content,summarizes the dictionary compilation existence partial question.
