| A Large Dictionary of Early-modern Chinese(LDEC),edited by Mr.Xu Shaofeng,which was revised and supplemented by his dictionary of early-modern Chinese,is a reference book explaining the spoken words in the ancient books from the Tang Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty.It has made an important contribution in the history of early-modern Chinese lexicography.This paper take LDEC as the research object,compared with A Dictionary of Early-modern Chinese chief-editing by Bai Weiguo,mainly refers to A Dictionary of Chinese Dialects,the Language Dictionary of Modern Vernacular Novels,The Dictionary of Wu Dialect in the Ming and Qing Periods and A Dictionary of Chinese Dialects,puts forward the discussion and supplement to LDEC on the basis of widely absorbing the previous research results and combining with my own research results,in an attempt to provide valuable reference for the revision of LDEC and the study of modern Chinese vocabulary.The introduction.gives a brief introduction to the study of early-modern Chinese vocabulary and its dictionary compilation,as well as the study of LDEC.The second to sixth parts are the main body of the thesis.The second part is the discussion of interpretation,included three aspects,correct interpretation,perfect definition and the example does not match the meaning.The third part is correcting the meaning,we will discuss it from three aspects,the meaning of omission,meaning can be deleted and the meaning does not correspond to the example.The fourth part is item supplement,which is divided into two parts,item supplement and deletion.The fifth part is the supplement of examples,which is divided into two parts,advance and supplement.The sixth part is phonetic correction and citation collation.The last part is the conclusion.Some suggestions are put forward to solve the problems in LDEC.There are mainly involved three parts.First,the interpretation should be clear and popular,and try to explain the rationale;Second,the absorption of existing results should be carefully screened,not copied;Thirdly,check the original documents and avoid contradiction. |
