Objective: The purpose of this study is to explore the clinical effect of Buzhong Yiqi Decoction combined with vertebroplasty in the treatment of kummell disease with spleen and stomach weakness.By comparing the improvement of patients’ pain,Oswestry Disability Index,TCM syndrome score, bone metabolism index, bone density and the incidence of re-fracture before and after treatment, the application value of Buzhong Yiqi Decoction combined with vertebroplasty in the treatment of kummell disease was evaluated, providing new ideas for the clinical treatment of kummell disease. Methods: In this study, patients with kummell disease who met the inclusion criteria were divided into control group and treatment group by random number table method, with 38 patients in each group. The control group was treated with vertebroplasty; On the basis of the control group, the treatment group was given Buzhong Yiqi Decoction orally. After treatment, the visual analogue scale score,Oswestry Disability Index, bone metabolic indexes,TCM syndrome score, bone mineral density and the incidence of re-fracture were compared, and the safety index was observed and recorded. The statistical analysis of the data in this study was carried out using SPSS26.0 data analysis software. Results: visual analogue scale score: comparison between the two groups: comparability before treatment(P>0.05),no statistical difference four weeks after treatment(P>0.05),There was a statistically significant difference after eight weeks(P<0.05);Intra-group comparison: At 4 and 8weeks after treatment, the visual analogue scale score of the two groups was significantly lower than that before treatment(P<0.01).Oswestry Disability Index: comparison between the two groups: comparability before treatment(P>0.05),no statistical difference at 4 weeks after treatment(P>0.05),and significant difference at 8 weeks after treatment(P<0.01);Intra-group comparison: At 4 and 8 weeks after treatment, the Oswestry Disability Index of the two groups was significantly lower than that before treatment(P<0.01).TCM syndrome score: After 4 and 8 weeks of treatment, there was a meaningful difference in TCM syndrome score between the two groups compared with that before treatment(P<0.01);The treatment group was meaningful lower than the control group(P<0.01).Bone metabolism index: The comparison of BGP and BALP values between the two groups before treatment showed that P>0.05,with no statistical difference; At 8 weeks after treatment, the BGP value of patients in both groups increased and the BALP value decreased, but there was a meaningful difference between the treatment group(P<0.05)and the control group no statistical difference(P>0.05);The BGP and BALP values in the treatment group were improved compared with those in the control group(P<0.05).BMD and T value of bone mineral density: there was no meaningful difference between the two groups before and after treatment(P>0.05);In-tragroup comparison: there was no meaningful difference between the two groups(P>0.05).The re-fracture rate of the two groups was 0% in the treatment group and 2.8% in the control group, with meaningful difference(P>0.05).The total effective rate of two groups was 91.67% and 80.56% respectively, with a significant difference(P<0.01).Conclusion: Buzhong Yiqi Decoction combined with Percutaneous vertebrophasty has a good clinical effect on kummell patients to improve the waist and back function, relieve pain, and improve the score of traditional Chinese medicine symptoms, with less adverse reactions, high safety, and high clinical application value;Buzhong Yiqi Decoction combined with Percutaneous vertebrophasty has an effect on the BGP and BALP levels of kummell patients; However, the effect of Buzhong Yiqi Decoction combined with Percutaneous vertebrophasty on bone mineral density and refracture rate of kummell patients needs further study.
