| Objective:Taking medical students at two stages of college education and post-graduation education as the main body,the current situation of general practice education in Shanxi Province was investigated comprehensively from four dimensions of professional cognition,vocational cognition,college education and employment intention,so as to understand the current situation and existing problems of general medical education in Shanxi Province and analyze its influencing factors.Further explore the general practice talent training system to meet regional service needs,and provide reference for the government,education and health authorities to formulate corresponding general practice education policies.Methods:In this study,the method of stratified cluster sampling was used to select 3 colleges and universities in Shanxi Province with order-oriented free medical majors as sampling units,and a total of 2187 medical students were selected as research objects by using the revised questionnaire Survey on the Status of General Medical Education.Descriptive analysis was used to analyze the total score and the score of each dimension of general medical education in the two stages of college education and post-graduation education.For variables conforming to normal distribution,t test,variance analysis or Welch test were used for comparative analysis.If the differences between groups were statistically significant,LSD was used for post hoc multiple test.When analyzing multiple factors,multiple linear regression analysis is used.The entropy weight method and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method were used to evaluate the status quo of general medicine education for free medical students.Results:1.The scores of general medical education in Shanxi Province ranged from 23 to 115,with the highest score of 115 and the lowest score of 25,and the overall average score was(72.95±11.87).2.At the stage of college education,the professional cognition,occupational cognition,college education and employment intention of free medical students are at the medium level;The professional cognition,occupational cognition and college education of general medical students are at the medium level,but the employment intention is at a poor level.The difference between the two in the status quo of general practice education and the four dimensions was statistically significant.In the post-graduation education stage,the four dimensions of general medicine discipline trainees are at the medium level,the professional cognition,vocational cognition and college education of clinical medicine discipline trainees are at the medium level,and the employment intention is at the poor level.The difference between the two in the general medicine education status quo and the four dimensions is statistically significant.The total score of general practice education and the scores of various dimensions between free medical students and regular students in general practice were compared and analyzed.The differences among total score,professional cognition and occupational cognition were statistically significant(P<0.05).3.The results of multivariate analysis showed that professional cognition(partial regression coefficient(B)=0.239,95%CI:0.205~0.274),employment intention(B=0.234,95%CI:0.210~0.258),college education(B=0.229,95%CI:0.201~0.257),occupational cognition(B=0.228,95%CI:0.194~0.262)were important factors affecting the status quo of general medicine education(P<0.001).4.The status quo of general medical education of free medical students is "excellent" membership is 0.103,"good" membership is 0.309,"qualified" membership is 0.416,"relatively poor" membership is 0.139,which can be considered as "qualified" level of general medical education.According to the result of the comprehensive evaluation,the comprehensive score of the general medicine education status evaluation of free medical students is 78.1 points,which can be considered as "qualified" and consistent with the result of the grade evaluation.Conclusions:The present situation of general medical education in Shanxi Province is in the middle level,and the quality of education needs to be improved.There were differences in the total scores of general medical education and the scores of each dimension in the two stages of college education and post-graduation education in Shanxi Province.There are differences in professional cognition and occupational cognition between free medical students and general medical students in Shanxi Province.Therefore,in order to improve the current situation of general medicine education in Shanxi Province,it is suggested to open general medicine specialty under the policy permit,expand the policy publicity,and strengthen the humanistic quality education.Add general medicine vocational education courses,attach importance to practice teaching,improve students’ vocational cognition in the whole process;To build a team of high-quality general medicine teachers,carry out diversified curriculum and develop personalized training programs;Strengthen the performance behavior of general practitioners,further strengthen the incentive mechanism,and improve the attractiveness of general practitioners. |
