Clinical Study On The Treatment Of Chronic Simple Rhinitis By Hand Acupuncture

Objective: This study evaluated the clinical efficacy and safety of Hand Acupuncture in the treatment of chronic simple rhinitis by observing the scores of symptoms and signs of patients with chronic simple rhinitis before and after treatment,and clarified whether Hand Acupuncture has advantages in the treatment of chronic simple rhinitis compared with the traditional Chinese medicine control group.It lays the foundation for further clinical application and promotion of acupuncture in the treatment of chronic simple rhinitis.Methods: Case data were collected from the Department of Otolaryngology and Acupuncture and moxibustion of the Third Clinical Hospital Affiliated to Changchun University of Chinese Medicine.60 patients with chronic simple rhinitis who met various diagnostic criteria were randomly assigned to the treatment group and the control group,with 30 cases in each group.The patients in the treatment group were treated with Hand Acupuncture,and the needles were inserted horizontally into the li hexagram,the gen hexagram and the dui hexagram in turn.The control group was treated with Tong Qiao Bi Yan Pian.The basic data of the patients were collected,and the severity of symptoms and signs before and after treatment was scored.The clinical efficacy of the two groups in the treatment of chronic simple rhinitis was evaluated by statistical comparison and analysis of the data of the two groups.Results: After intra-group comparison,the scores of symptoms and signs in the two groups were lower than those before treatment,and the differences were statistically significant(P < 0.05).Compared with the control group,the scores of symptoms and signs in the treatment group were statistically significant(P < 0.05).The improvement of symptoms and nasal signs in the treatment group was significantly better than that in the control group,especially in the three aspects of nasal obstruction,runny nose and symptoms of deficiency of lung and spleen qi.The total effective rate was 90% in the Hand Acupuncture group and 66.7% in the oral Tong Qiao Bi Yan Pian group.The total effective rate was 90% in the Hand Acupuncture group and 66.7% in the oral Tong Qiao Bi Yan Pian group.The total effective rates of the two groups were statistically significant by Pearson’s chi-square test(P < 0.05).Conclusion:1.Both Hand Acupuncture group and oral Tong Qiao Bi Yan Pian control group have good curative effect on chronic simple rhinitis,and the clinical total effective rate of Hand Acupuncture therapy is higher than that of oral Tong Qiao Bi Yan Pian.2.Hand Acupuncture group has a significant effect on improving nasal obstruction,runny nose and symptoms of deficiency of lung and spleen qi in patients with chronic simple rhinitis.
