Objective:To observe the effects of acupuncture of xuan-fei-tong-qiao method, and to investigate the of serum Toll-like receptor 2(TLR2)in the mechanism of acupuncture therapy in the treatment of allergic rhinitis(AR),it provided clinical reference for acupuncture treatment and promotion in allergic rhinitis.Method:The patients who met the inclusion criteria received treatment were in Department of Acupuncture and Rehabilitation and Otorhinolaryngology Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing University of traditional Chinese medicine from September 2016 to August 2017,who were randomly divided into acupuncture group and control group with the random number table method,30 patients respectively.Patients in the acupuncture group received xuan-fei-tong-qiao method once every other day, three times one week, the main acupoints 'were Fengchi(GB20),Yingtang(EX-HN3),Yingxiang(LI20),Bitong(EX-HN8),Hegu(LI4)and Zusanli(ST36).Control group received Loratadine once a day,the course were four weeks.By observe clinical system and physical sign score,VAS score,TNSS score,TNNSS score RQLQ and follow-up implemented,it was detected the peripheral blood TLR2 expression with Elisa method.Results:1.The effect comparison between two groups:In the acupuncture group, the total effective rate in was 92.59%,which is higher than the control group in which the total effective rate was 82.14%,so the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The clinical system and physical sign score,VAS score,TNSS score,TNNSS score and RQLQ score were significantly better than the control group(P<0.05).There was statistically significant about the prostecdtive efficacy between the two groups(P<0.05).2.Comparison the peripheral blood TLR2 expression:TLR2 expression after treatment in both groups were lower than prior treatment, and there was no difference between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Both acupuncture and Loratadine can improve nose symptoms such as itchy nose, sneezing, runny nose and life quality in patients with AR.Compared with western medicine, acupuncture has some advantages, such as safe,no side effects, reducing the recurrence and so on.Acupuncture is as same as Loratadine which can improve nose symptoms by decreasing TLR2 expression, then reducing flammatory cytokine expression via inhibition of NF-?B activation.
