Objective:The purpose of this study is to compare and observe the clinical efficacy of needling Twelve acupoints in the Hands and Feet combined with scalp acupuncture therapy and conventional acupuncture in the treatment of primary hemifacial spasm with yin deficiency and wind movement syndrome,in order to provide more effective treatment methods for the clinical treatment of this disease. Methods:The 72 patients who met the inclusion criteria of this study were divided into treatment and control groups using the random number table method,30 patients were divided in each group. The treatment group was treated with needling Twelve acupoints in the Hands and Feet mainly combined with scalp acupuncture; The control group was treated with conventional acupuncture. The two groups were treated once every other day,1 course of treatment 10 times,a total of 3 courses of treatment.Using Cohen intensity grading scale and Penn frequency grading scale to evaluate the intensity and frequency of hemifacial spasm in the two groups on the day of admission,at the end of 1 course,2courses and 3 courses of treatment, and the efficacy of the two groups was compared at the end of 3 courses of treatment.Finally,SPSS26.0 is used to analyze the data from the results.Results:72 patients who met the inclusion criteria of this subject,36 cases in the treatment group,1 case was rejected and 2 cases were dislodged during the treatment,33 cases were completed, while the control group dislodged 4 cases and completed 32 cases,a total of 65 cases were completed in both groups. The specific results were as follows:1.Before treatment(general information and the analysis of the baseline):The general information such as gender, age, course of disease and the intensity and frequency of spasm in the two groups before treatment were compared and analyzed, and all P>0.05,it means that the two groups could be compared.2.After treatment:(1)After 10 treatments(After 1 course of treatment):Intra-group comparison:After 1 course of treatment, the intensity and frequency of hemifacial spasm in the treatment and control groups were compared with those before treatment, and the results were all P<0.05,which reflected that the intensity and frequency of hemifacial spasm in both the treatment and control groups were better after 1 course of treatment than before treatment.Comparison between groups:(1)The intensity of hemifacial spasm was compared between the two groups, and the results were all P<0.05,which showed that the treatment group was better than the control group in relieving spasm intensity at the end of 1 course of treatment.(2)The frequency of hemifacial spasm was compared between the two groups, and the results were all P>0.05,which reflected that there was no significant difference between the two groups in relieving hemifacial spasm frequency after 1 course of the treatment.(2)After 20 treatments(After 2 course of treatments):After 2 course of treatments, the intensity and frequency of hemifacial spasm were compared between the two groups, and the results were all P<0.05,which indicated that the treatment group was better than the control group in relieving the intensity and frequency of spasm at the end of 2 course of treatments.(3)After 30 treatments(After 3 course of treatments):After 3 course of treatments, the intensity and frequency of hemifacial spasm were compared between the two groups, and the results were all P<0.05,which explained that the treatment group was superior than the control group in relieving the intensity and frequency of spasm at the end of 3 course of treatments.(4)Treatment results(After 3 course of treatments):Treatment group: in the 33 cases of the observation group,13 cases were cured,16 cases were markedly effective,2 cases were effective,2 cases were ineffective, and the total effective rate was 93.94%.Control group: in the 32 cases of the control group,5 cases were cured,15 cases were markedly effective,6 cases were effective,6 cases were ineffective, and the total effective rate was 81.25%.Compared between the two groups,Z=-2.699,P=0.007(P<0.05),there was a statistical difference, which reflected that the efficacy of needling Twelve acupoints in the Hands and Feet treatment combined with Scalp acupuncture was significantly better than conventional acupuncture treatment.3.Follow-up results:The cured patients were followed up 6 months later by phone,SMS,We Chat and other contacts.Among the 13 cured patients in the observation group,2 cases had mild recurrence;while the 5 cured patients in the control group,2 cases had minor recurrence.Conclusion:1.Both the needling Twelve acupoints in the Hands and Feet combination of scalp acupuncture and conventional acupuncture treatment could reduced Cohen intensity and Penn frequency grading scale scores of patients.2.Needling Twelve acupoints in the Hands and Feet combined with scalp acupuncture was superior to conventional acupuncture therapy in improving spasm intensity and frequency of patients with primary hemifacial spasm of yin deficiency and wind movement syndrome.
