Objective:To evaluate the efficacy of Sufei Sanhan acupuncture combined with Salbutamol Sulphate Aerosol in the treatment of acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(AECOPD)caused by wind-cold,and to provide a more optimal clinical treatment for this type of acute exacerbation of COPD.Methods:From January 2022 to December 2022,a total of 66 patients who diagnosed with COPD were selected in the Acupuncture and Moxibustion clinic and the Respiratory clinic in the Xiamen Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The clinical status was judged to be in the stage of acute exacerbation, the degree of acute exacerbation was mild, the lung function classification was moderate or severe, and the Traditional Chinese Medicine syndrome was wind-cold attack lung. The collected patients were divided into the treatment group and the control group, with 33 patients in each group.Patients in the control group were treated with salbutamol sulfate aerosol. In the treatment group,on top of western medicine treatment, the Sufei Sanhan cold principle was added.A 30 minutes therapy was given to the patients daily for 7 days. The curative effect of pre-and post-therapy of the two groups were recorded respectively. Then, the collected data were statistically analyzed by SPSS 24.0.Results:1.Total TCM syndrome score and individual TCM syndrome score:(1)Total TCM syndrome score:the total TCM syndrome score of the treatment group decreased obviously when compared with the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P>0.05).For post treatment, the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).(2)Single item score:After treatment, patients who have the condition of cough and expectoration were improving significantly in the treatment group and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the improvement degree of the other main and secondary symptoms between the two groups(P>0.05).2.CAT score and m MRC score:There were statistically significant differences in CAT score and m MRC score between the two groups after treatment(P<0.05).After treatment, there was significant difference in CAT score between the two groups(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference in m MRC score(P>0.05).3.Lung function:There was no significant difference in FEV1/pred%,FEV1/FVC between the two groups after treatment(P>0.05).4.6MWD and Sp O2:There was no significant difference in 6MWD and Sp O2.6MWD between groups(P>0.05),There was significant difference in the treatment group(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference in the control group(P>0.05).Sp O2 was measured by finger oximeter before and after 6MWD,and the difference between the two groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05).In the treatment group, the difference of resting Sp O2 was statistically significant(P<0.05),but the difference of Sp O2 after activity was not statistically significant(P>0.05).In the control group, there was no significant difference in resting Sp O2and Sp O2 after activity(P>0.05).Conclusions:1.Sufei Sanhan acupuncture combined with Salbutamol Sulphate Aerosol can alleviate the clinical symptoms of mild acute exacerbation of COPD in patients with TCM syndrome of wind-cold attack lung. However,it has no significant improvement in clinical indicators of lung function and Sp O2.2.Sufei Sanhan acupuncture combined with Salbutamol Sulphate Aerosol is able to improve the overall condition of patients with moderate to severe COPD in the mild acute exacerbation stage of wind-cold attack lung type.Compared with the simple use of western medicine,it particularly alleviate the symptoms of cough and expectoration. In clinical treatment,it can provide a treatment plan of external treatment of TCM for patients.
