Objective: To investigate the efficacy and treatment mechanism of acupuncture combined with heat-sensitive moxibustion in the treatment of peripheral facial paralysis based on T lymphocyte subsets. Methods: A total of 60 patients with peripheral facial palsy who met the criteria were randomly divided into control group(acupuncture alone group)and treatment group(acupuncture combined with thermal moxibustion group),with a treatment course of 7 days,a total of two courses, and an interval of 1 day between the two courses for a total of 15 days. The H-B score and serum level of T lymphocyte subsets before and after treatment were recorded, and the effective rate of the two groups and the level of T lymphocyte subsets in serum before and after treatment were compared.Results:(1)The total effective rate of acupuncture combined with heat-sensitive moxibustion group was 93.33%,which was better than acupuncture alone by 73.33%,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(2)After two courses of treatment,CD3 and CD4 increased and CD8 decreased in serum in the acupuncture group alone and acupuncture combined with heat-sensitive moxibustion group(P<0.01).(3)The difference before and after treatment between T lymphocyte subsets in serum in the acupuncture combined with heat-sensitive moxibustion group was greater than that in the acupuncture group alone, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).Conclusions:(1)Acupuncture combined with heat-sensitive moxibustion has better clinical effect than acupuncture alone in the recovery period of peripheral facial paralysis,(2)Acupuncture combined with thermal moxibustion in the recovery period of peripheral facial palsy can regulate the level of T lymphocyte subsets, increase the body’s CD3 and CD4,and reduce the body’s CD8 level.(3)The effect of acupuncture combined with heat-sensitive moxibustion on the level of T lymphocyte subsets in the recovery period of peripheral facial palsy is greater than that of acupuncture alone, and the effect of acupuncture combined with thermal moxibustion treatment on cellular immunity in patients recovering from peripheral facial palsy may be one of the therapeutic mechanisms of acupuncture combined with thermal moxibustion in the recovery period of peripheral facial palsy. |
