| Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of acupoint on meridian of hand Shaoyang combined with multi-direction needling in the treatment of Spastic paralysis of upper limb after stroke,so as to explore a new idea for acupuncture treatment of spasm of upper limb after stroke.Methods:60 patients were randomly divided into multi-direction needling group(n= 30)and routine acupuncture group(n = 30).In the multi-direction needling group,Yangchi,Waiguan,Tianjing,Naohui and Jianliao were selected to perform multi-direction needling method, while in the routine acupuncture group,Jianyu,Quchi,Shousanli,Hegu and Wangu were selected and treated with mild reinforcing and mild reducing. In both groups, the needle was retained for 50 minutes. Both groups were treated once a day,6 times a week. After 4 weeks of treatment, the curative effect was evaluated by modified Ashworth scale(MAS),Fugl-Meyer assessment-upper Extremity(FMA-UE)and modified Barthel index(MBI).Results:1.Statistical results of general information: there were no significant differences in terms of gender, age, course of disease and type of stroke between the two groups(P > 0.05),and they were comparable.2.Statistical results of the scale: there were no significant differences in MAS grade,FMA-UE score and MBI score between the two groups before treatment(P > 0.05),and they were comparable. After treatment, the grade of MAS were decreased and the scores of FMA-UE and MBI were increased in both groups compared with those before treatment(P < 0.05),expecially in the multi-direction needling group, and the difference was statistically significant.3.Statistical results of curative effect: the total effective rate of multi-direction needling group was 86.7%(26/30),and that of the routine acupuncture group was 63.3%(19/30),The curative effect of the multi-direction needling group was better than that of the routine acupuncture group(P < 0.05),and the difference was statistically significant.Conclusions:1.Both acupoint on meridian of hand Shaoyang combined with multi-direction needling and routine acupuncture can improve the high tension of the muscle of spasm of upper limb after stroke to some extent, but multi-direction needling has better effect than routine acupuncture.2.Both acupoint on meridian of hand Shaoyang combined with multi-direction needling and routine acupuncture can improve the motor function of upper limbs and the activities of daily living of patients, but multi-direction needling has better effect than routine acupuncture.3.Acupoint on meridian of hand Shaoyang combined with multi-direction needling is an effective therapy for spastic paralysis of upper limb after stroke, and its clinical effect is better than that of routine acupuncture. |
