Construction And Application Of Humanistic Care Training Index System For Nuring Interns Based On Swanson’s Caring Theory

Objective: Based on Swanson’s caring theory,the cultivation index system of humanistic care for patients by nursing interns was constructed and applied in clinical teaching,so as to improve the humanistic care level of nursing interns,improve patients’ caring perception and nursing service satisfaction,and provide reference value for improving the quality of clinical nursing teaching.Methods: On the basis of literature review,the current application status of humanistic care cultivation under the guidance of Swanson’s caring theory is understood.Through semi-structured interview and Colaizzi 7 step method,an in-depth analysis is made on the humanistic care of nursing interns by clinical teachers,the humanistic care needs of clinical patients and the humanistic care suggestions of nursing interns for patients.Then,the author adopted the expert correspondence consultation method to construct the index system of humanistic care training for patients.Finally,using the method of historical control,nursing interns of Grade 2021 and Grade 2022 from the respiratory department of a Grade-III hospital were selected as the control group(N=72)and the intervention group(N=71).The humanistic care culture index system was applied to the teaching culture of clinical nursing interns in the intervention group.Caring Ability Inventory(CAI)was used to evaluate the caring ability scores of the two groups of nursing interns.Using Client Perception of Caring Scale(CPCS)and Newcastle nursing service satisfaction scale(CPCS),NSNS)analyzed and compared the care perception and nursing service satisfaction of nursing interns in the two groups.Results:(1)Semi-structured interview extracted four major themes of humanistic care training content of nursing interns for patients,including humanistic care concept,humanistic care knowledge,humanistic care ability and humanistic care perception.(2)The expert letter consultation method constructed 5 first-level indicators,18second-level indicators and 70 third-level indicators of humanistic care training system for nursing interns based on Swanson’s care theory.The positive coefficients of the two rounds of letter consultation with experts were 95% and 100% respectively,and the modification rates of opinions were 68% and 32% respectively.The authority coefficients Cr were 0.861 and 0.863,respectively.(3)The results of verification culture mode showed that there was no significant difference in general data between the two groups of nursing interns and the two groups of patients before intervention(P > 0.05).After intervention,the score of humanistic care ability of nursing interns in the intervention group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P < 0.05).The humanistic care perception score and nursing service satisfaction score of the intervention group were also significantly higher than those of the control group(P <0.05),and the differences were statistically significant.Conclusions:(1)Patients also need corresponding care from nursing interns during hospitalization,so the clinical nursing teachers attached great importance to the training of humanistic care for patients by nursing interns.(2)Based on the theoretical guidance of Swanson’s care model and the expert correspondence consultation method,the humanistic care training indicators of nursing interns for patients were constructed,including 5 first-level indicators(understanding,accompanying,helping,enabling and maintaining faith),18 second-level indicators and 70 third-level indicators.(3)Based on Swanson’s caring theory,the application of humanistic care training index system for nursing interns is conducive to improving the humanistic care ability of nursing interns,improving patients’ caring perception and promoting the improvement of nursing service satisfaction.
