Purpose: By comprehensively comparing the relevant records of the Back-shu points the unearthed Han Dynasty and handed down materials, and combining relevant research,to find the records related to the Back-shu points the unearthed materials as the research basis.Afterwards, based on the records of the Han Dynasty unearthed materials related to the Back-shu points, combined with the evidence of passed down literature, this study explores the development and evolution of the Han Dynasty’s Back-shu points and its theory, and conducts reasonable research on related issues.Method: Mainly using dual evidence method, quantitative research method, scientific comparison method, historical analysis method, and interdisciplinary research method. This study adopts the dual evidence method to verify the unearthed cultural relics from the Han Dynasty period with those passed down,in order to investigate the origin and development of the Back-shu points and provide stronger evidence support for the conclusion;Quantitative research method is used to screen, collect, and organize data related to the Back-shu points in unearthed Han Dynasty literature and cultural relics, and determine the research focus;Using the scientific comparative method, comparative research is conducted on materials related to the Back-shu points in different periods, analyzing possible connections, pointing out their differences and commonalities, and demonstrating the changes and possible reasons for the name positioning of the same Back-shu points in different periods; The historical analysis method studies the influence of factors such as social and cultural backgrounds on the evolution of meridians and acupoints, and based on this, infers the reasons and processes of the evolution of Back-shu points;A multidisciplinary interdisciplinary research method that conducts comprehensive analysis and research from the perspectives of philology, philology, traditional Chinese medicine, and history.Result: Firstly, the concept of acupoints had already emerged in the Han Dynasty, but many records showed that the characteristics of acupoints were not clear enough and their positioning was not precise enough. The overall trend is that the number of acupoints is gradually increasing and the scope is gradually becoming more precise.Secondly,At this time, the concept of Back-shu points had emerged, distributed in the back, and was believed to be closely related to the visceral qi mechanism. There are records of using Back-shu points to treat visceral diseases in both unearthed and passed down literature.Like other acupoints, the positioning of the Back-shu points is not precise enough compared to later generations, but there have been methods to locate the Back-shu points through the vertebral body of the spine.Thirdly,Through research,it has been found that the positioning of the "lung acupoints" in the "Medical Wooden Slips of the Han Dynasty in Wuwei" should be located on both sides of the fourth thoracic vertebrae, and their positioning and indications are very similar to the Jueyin Shu(Que Shu)in later classics. There should be a close relationship between the two. Finally,The lacquered wooden man style of the acupoints of the Han Dynasty tomb in Laoguanshan should be a product of the medical theory of the "Bianque".Its unique visceral theory has a certain impact on the arrangement order of the Back-shu points established by it.When arranging the order of the Back-shu points from top to bottom,it is likely to refer to the upper and lower relationships of the viscera in its theory. The observation and summary of practical behaviors such as the phenomenon of meridian sensation transmission, subjective feelings of patients, and treatment effects have also had a certain impact on the specific positioning of the Back-shu points. And this "theory first, practical verification" model of the establishment of the Back-shu points also been inherited by later generations, affecting the overall development of the Back-shu points. Conclusion: The theory of Back-shu points in the Han Dynasty is relatively complete, and at this time, the understanding of the concept of Back-shu points has basically matured. The emergence of the concept of Back-shu points is closely related to the development of meridian acupoint theory and viscera theory. At the same time, through medical practices such as surface palpation and acupuncture along meridians,it further accurately locates and treats diseases. At this stage, the positioning of many acupoints is not precise enough. The longitudinal position of the Back-shu points is generally determined by counting the number of vertebrae, while the horizontal position is often recorded more vaguely, reflecting its strong subjectivity in positioning. In terms of application,it is mainly used for the treatment of visceral diseases and local pain.Through this study, the author believes that the "Lung Shu" recorded in the "Wu Wei Han Dynasty Medical Jian" should have evolved into the later Jueyin Shu,which has more diverse indications than today. The lacquered wooden figures on the acupoints of the Han Dynasty tomb in Laoguanshan exhibit a different and long-standing arrangement of "Back-shu points",which can help us have a more comprehensive understanding of the origin and development of the Back-shu points and even the entire acupoint theory.
