Effect Of Fangs Scalp Acupuncture Combined With New Bobath Technique On Upper Limb Motor Dysfunction In Convalescent Stroke Patients

Objective: To observe the improvement of motor function and ADL of upper limbs by Fangs scalp acupuncture combined with new Bobath technique in the recovery period of stroke.Methods: A randomized controlled study was conducted in 94 stroke patients(94cases)who received rehabilitation treatment from October 2021 to December 2022 in Dongguan Branch of Yan’an Hospital.The general clinical data of age,side of hemiplegia,sex,nature of lesion,location of lesion and history of hypertension were compared and the upper limb motor function was evaluated.The evaluation indicators included the simplification of Fugl-Meyer’s functional upper limb(FMA-UE),Brunnstrom staging,modified Ashworth grade(MAS),active joint mobility(AROM),modified Barthel index(MBI),and WOLF function(WMFT).The two groups were given routine medical treatment for basic diseases and routine rehabilitation,including upper limb motor and occupational therapy.In addition to routine rehabilitation,the control group received a new Bobath technique.The experimental group was treated with Fangs scalp acupuncture once a day for 30 minutes,1 week for 6 days and 4 weeks.The upper limb motor function was evaluated again after treatment,including FMA-UE,Brunnstrom stage,MAS,AROM,MBI and WMFT.The clinical efficacy was evaluated before and after treatment.All data were analyzed by SPSS26.0 software.Results:1.The clinical data of the two groups were comparable in age,sex,hemiplegia side,course,lesion type,lesion location and hypertension history(P > 0.05).2.FMA-UE,Brunnstrom staging,MAS,AROM,MBI,WMFT were not significantly different between the two groups(P > 0.05).3.After 4 weeks of treatment,the evaluation indexes of the two groups were significantly changed,and Statistical significance was found(P < 0.05).All indexes(except wrist and palmar flexion)were better in the test group than in the control group,Statistically significant differences were observed in the control group(P <0.05).Conclusion:1.New Bobath technique and Fangs head needle combined with new Bobath technique can improve the motor function of upper limbs and accelerate the recovery of motor function after stroke.2.Fangs scalp acupuncture combined with the new Bobath technique is superior to the new Bobath technique in improving the motor function of upper limbs in the recovery period after stroke.The curative effect of upper limb shoulder and elbow joint is more remarkable.
