Clinical Observation Of Clearing Stomach Heat And Resolving Spleen Dampness In The Treatment Of Obese PCOS-IR In Childbearing Age

Obj ecti ve:To observe the clinical treatment effect of the self-drafted formula for regulating menstruation and resolving turbidity by our supervisor,Professor Yao Meiyu,in the treatment of obese PCOSIR with stomach heat and dampness obstruction in childbearing age,and to sum up the experience in the diagnosis and therapy of this illness,in order to offer fresh thoughts for clinical diagnosis and therapy.Methods:64 patients who met the criteria of obese PCOS-IR with stomach heat and dampness obstruction in childbearing age and attended the gynecology clinic of the First Affiliated Hospital of Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from October 2020 to January 2022 were recruited.The patients were randomly divided into 32 cases in the treatment group(taking the self-drafted formula for regulating menstruation and resolving turbidity)and 32 cases in the control group(taking metformin hydrochloride tablets),both of whom were treated continuously for 3 months as a course of treatment.The TCM symptom score,menstrual score,B MI and WHR,sex hormone level,glucose metabolism index,BBT and pregnancy rate during the follow-up period after treatment were observed and recorded in both groups to make statistical findings and effect evaluation.Results:1.The overall effective rate was 8 3.33%in the therapy group and 7 0%in the control group,and the comprehensive clinical efficacy of the treatment group was superior to that of the control group(P<0.05).2.The TCM syndrome score of the two groups decreased obviously after treatment(P<0.01),and the treatment group was better than the control group(P<0.01).3.The menstrual points were significantly lower in both groups after treatment(P<0.01),and the menstrual cycle points(P<0.01)and menstrual volume points(P<0.05)were better in the treatment group than in the control group when compared between groups.4.B MI and WHR of the two groups decreased after treatment(P<0.05),and the efficacy of both groups was comparable(P>0.05).5.LH,T and LH/FSH decreased in all two groups after treatment(P<0.05),while FSH did not change significantly(P>0.05).The therapy group was superior to the control group in terms of LH,T and LH/FSH(P<0.05).6.After treatment,FINS and HOMA-IR reduced in all two groups(P<0.05),while FPG did not change significantly(P>0.05).The therapy group was superior to the control group in terms of FINS and HOMA-IR(P<0.05).7.The overall number of biphasic body temperature cycles in the trial group was more than that in the control group when contrasting BBT between groups(P<0.05).8.At 3 months post-treatment follow-up,the pregnancy rate was 3.33%in the control group and 1 3.33%in the treatment group,with no statistically significant difference.(P>0.05).Conclusion:1.The self-drafted formula for regulating menstruation and resolving turbidity can improve the TCM symptoms of obese PCOSIR in the childbearing age with stomach heat and dampness obstruction,effectively restoring menstruation and improving the quality of life of patients.2.The self-drafted formula for regulating menstruation and resolving turbidity is clinically effective in treating obese PCOSIR in childbearing age with the evidence of stomach heat and dampness obstruction,which can effectively reduce body mass,adjust gonadal hormone levels,relieve insulin resistance,induce spontaneous ovulation,help solve fertility problems,and prevent long-term complications to a certain extent.3.The comprehensive efficacy of the self-drafted formula for regulating menstruation and resolving turbidity is better than that of metformin hydrochloride tablets in the treatment of obese PCOSIR with stomach heat and dampness obstruction in the childbearing age,which has high safety and less adverse effects,and has good clinical application value.
