Objective:The four diagnostic information and related factors of adult overweight/obese men with different body types were counted, hoping to reveal the syndrome characteristics and differences of related factors of adult overweight/obese men with different body types, and provide the basis for the prevention and treatment of adult overweight/obese men with traditional Chinese medicine.Methods:360 overweight / obese adult males who were examined in the physical examination Center of people’s Hospital Affiliated to Fujian University of traditional Chinese medicine from March 2021 to January 2022 were as the research objects, including central obesity group(n=120),early stage of central obesity group(n=120)and BMI abnormal but waistline normal group(n=120).The four diagnostic information, demographic characteristics(age, place of origin,long-term residence),some daily habits(diet, history of tobacco and alcohol, activity level),somatotype characteristics(height, weight, waistline)were collected by using TCM four diagnosis collection table, correlation factors and somatotype parameter table, respectively, and calculated and analyzed by "TCM Health State Identification system Software" and SPSS data statistics software. In order to clarify the distribution characteristics of TCM syndrome elements and related influencing factors of adult overweight / obese men with different somatotypes.Results:1.Logistic regression analysis of central obesity in adult overweight men showed t hat increased age [OR=1.084,95%CI(1.048,1.121),P=0.000],increased BMI [OR=4.189,95%CI(2.339,7.501),P=0.000],and drinking history [OR=4.479,95%CI(1.422,14.112),P=0.010] were risk factors for central obesity.Normal eating speed [OR=0.221,95%CI(0.118,0.412),P=0.000],increased average daily sleep time [OR=0.664,95%CI(0.452,0.976),P=0.037],high level of physical activity [OR=0.280,95%CI,(0.145,0.541),P=0.000] were protec tivefactors of central obesity.2.The causes of waist circumference and weight increase in the central obesity group were closely related to careless diet(eat more, eat fast). The most common symptoms in central obesity group and central pre-obesity group were snoring / sound sleep. There were 91 patients with abdominal distension and 54 patients with hemorrhoids in the central obesity group. No abdominal distension and low proportion of hemorrhoids were found in the other two groups.3.The common syndrome elements of central obesity group(constituent ratio more than30%)were liver(52.5%),spleen(51.67%)and kidney(33.33%).The common syndrome elements(constituent ratio more than 30%)in early stage of central obesity group and BMI abnormal but waistline normal group group were liver in 39 cases(32.5%)and 42 cases(35.00%)respectively.4.There were significant differences in the frequency and score of liver and spleen syndrome between the central obesity group and the other two groups(P < 0.05).5.The common syndrome elements(constituent ratio more than 30%)in central obesity group were dampness(81.67%),phlegm(77.50%),qi stagnation(70.005%),qi deficiency(65.00%),food accumulation(45.00%)and yang deficiency(39.17%).The common syndrome elements in the early stage of central obesity group were dampness(57.50%),phlegm(54.17%),qi stagnation(48.33%),qi deficiency(34.17%)and heat(30.83%).The common syndrome elements of BMI abnormal but waistline normal group were dampness(50.00%),qi stagnation(39.17%)and phlegm(33.33%).6.There were significant differences in the frequency of phlegm and qi deficiency syndrome among the three groups(P<0.05),and there were significant differences in the scores of phlegm and dampness syndrome among the three groups(P<0.05).There were significant differences in the frequency of phlegm, dampness,qi stagnation,qi deficiency and yang deficiency syndrome between the central obesity group and the other two groups(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.Age,BMI rise and alcohol addiction would lead to central obesity in overweight adult men.Normal eating speed, increased average daily sleep and high level of daily activities help to prevent and control the occurrence of central obesity in overweight adult men.2.Liver is the viscera most easily affected by overweight / obesity in adult males.Spleen dysfunction is an important viscera factor leading to central obesity in adult overweight /obese men.3."phlegm" and "dampness" are the main solid pathological factor of health problems in overweight / obese adult men.4.Qi deficiency is the key deficiency pathological factors leading to central obesity in adult overweight / obese men.
