A Study On The Adoption Behavior Of Farmers’ Integrated Rice And Shrimp Farming Ecological Agriculture Technology

The research on farmers’ agricultural technology adoption behavior has always been a hot topic.However,most of the existing studies focus on the overall analysis of agricultural technology,deeply analyze the influence mechanism of farmers or start from the theoretical level,and study the influencing factors of farmers’ agricultural technology adoption behavior and the differences of adoption behavior decisions.Based on the research of the adoption willingness and its influencing factors,there are few in-depth studies on the technology demonstration areas.Based on 325 valid questionnaires in Dongting Lake District,a binary and multiple logistic model are constructed to explore the adoption behavior and willingness of farmers in Dongting Lake area.The main conclusions of the study include:(1)the ecological agriculture extension system in Dongting Lake area is a government-led diversified system.For the promotion of rice and shrimp,there are some problems such as misplaced training objects,short-term training and insufficient effective participation of subjects.(2)Research area sample farmers older age,male for decision makers,most education level belongs to the high school and below,agricultural income mostly below 50 percent,most farmers land management area in 1-20 mu,55.1%farmers received agricultural training,85.92%of farmers in last year’s rice and shrimp farming,farmers adopt technology pay more attention to its income utility.(3)Cultural level,whether debt due to agricultural production,agricultural income proportion,joining cooperatives,risk cognition,income cognition,technology cognition,neighborhood effect have a significant impact on the comprehensive cultivation of rice and shrimp ecological agricultural technology adoption behavior and its future adoption willingness.Main policy suggestions:(1)Strengthen the publicity of technical utility and improve the cognitive level of farmers’ income.(2)Strengthen policy guidance and infrastructure improvement to improve the risk awareness of farmers.(3)Education level,whether the debt due to agricultural production,agricultural income proportion,joining cooperatives,risk cognition,income cognition,technology cognition,neighborhood effect also have a significant impact on the adoption behavior and its future adoption intention.(4)Cultivate diversified subjects and improve the effectiveness of driving and demonstration.
