Study On Improving Endurance Of Thoroughbred Horse Racing By Thread-embedding Therapy

Abstract/Summary:
With the development of competitive horse racing activities all over the country and the establishment of horse culture-related projects,China’s new horse industry has made remarkable breakthroughs and development.Through scientific and reasonable human intervention,the functional state and Exercise-induced fatigue of horses in fierce competitive sports can be adjusted or improved,so as to improve the performance of horse racing has become the hot focus of researchers.In this study,thoroughbred horse were divided into control group(quiet control group and exercise control group),experimental group(catgut embedding group I(Qiangfeng,Baihui,Hangou,Feishu)and groupⅡ(Qiangfeng,Baihui,Hangou)).The effects of Thread-embedding therapy on physiological,biochemical and blood gas indexes of thoroughbred horse after exercise in six-week 3km test were analyzed.To explore the effect of Thread-embedding therapy on the recovery of exercise state of horses,the results are as follows:The immediate heart rate of catgut embedding groupⅠwas significantly lower than that of quiet control group and exercise control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference between catgut embedding groupⅡand quiet control group and exercise control group(P>0.05).The respiratory rate of catgut embedding groupⅠand groupⅡwas significantly lower than that of quiet control group and exercise control group(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference between catgut embedding groupⅠand catgut embedding groupⅡ(P>0.05).The speed of catgut embedding groupⅠand groupⅡwas significantly higher than that of exercise control group(P<0.05),and the speed of catgut embedding groupⅠwas better than that of catgut embedding groupⅡ.The activity of CAT in catgut embedding groupⅠandⅡwas significantly higher than that in exercise control group,and that in catgut embedding groupⅡwas significantly higher than that in catgut embedding groupⅠand groupⅡ.The concentration of MDA in catgut embedding groupⅠand groupⅡwas significantly lower than that in quiet control group and exercise control group.There was no significant difference in GSH-PX activity and SOD activity between catgut embedding group,quiet control group and exercise control group(P>0.05).The concentration of LAC in the catgut embedding group was significantly lower than that in the control group,the concentration of MYO in the catgut embedding groupⅡwas significantly lower than that in the control group and the catgut embedding groupⅠ,the concentration of CK in the catgut embedding group was significantly lower than that in the exercise control group,the concentration of CREA-S in the catgut embedding groupⅡwas significantly lower than that in the control group and groupⅠ,and the UREA concentration in the catgut embedding group was significantly higher than that in the control group.There was no significant difference in the concentration of LDH and AST between catgut embedding group,quiet control group and exercise control group,and catgut embedding groupⅡwas better than catgut embedding group I.The value of pH in the catgut embedding group was significantly higher than that in the control group,and the value of be in the catgut embedding group was significantly higher than that in the exercise control group,and that in the catgut embedding groupⅠwas significantly higher than that in the exercise control group(P<0.05).The blood PO2in the catgut embedding groupⅠwas significantly higher than that in the exercise control group and the catgut embedding groupⅡ(P<0.05).The blood levels in the TCO2quiet control group and exercise control group were significantly lower than those in the exercise control group(P<0.05).PCO2catgut embedding groupⅠandⅡwere significantly higher than the exercise control group,and the concentration of s O2in the catgut embedding groupⅠwas significantly higher than that in the exercise control group.There was no significant difference in the concentration of Hb and Hct between the catgut embedding group and the quiet control group and exercise control group,and the catgut embedding groupⅠwas better than the catgut embedding groupⅡ.Conclusion:(1)Thread-embedding therapy can better regulate the physiological indexes of horses,maintain heart rate,body temperature and respiratory rate in a stable range,and improve exercise speed.(2)Thread-embedding therapy can enhance the antioxidant capacity of horses,stimulate the body to produce CAT quickly,gradually increase the level of GSH-PX,and reduce the production of MDA.(3)Thread-embedding therapy can accelerate the clearance rate of LAC,reduce the production of MYO,CK and CREA-S,increase the metabolism of UREA and delay exercise fatigue.(4)Thread-embedding therapy can improve blood gas level,regulate acid-base balance,increase O2intake,promote CO2excretion and improve tissue hypoxia.To sum up,there was no significant difference between catgut embedding groupⅠand catgut embedding groupⅡ.Catgut embedding groupⅡhad one pair of acupoints less than that of catgut embedding groupⅠ,so combined with the experimental results,catgut embedding groupⅡwas better.
