Study On The Development Of Hairy Crab Industry In Xinghua City, Jiangsu Province

Hairy crab is one of China’s unique aquatic products with a long history.It is mainly distributed on the coastline from Liaoning and Henan to the Pearl River in the north of China.Among them,Jiangsu Province in the Yangtze River system produces the largest amount of hairy crab and the best quality.The total annual output of hairy crabs in China is basically maintained at 800000 tons.The six provinces of Jiangsu,Hubei,Anhui,Liaoning,Jiangxi and Shandong have always occupied the top six,accounting for about 93% of the total national output.Among them,the output of hairy crabs in Jiangsu accounts for half of the country.Since the 1990 s,Xinghua municipal government has attached great importance to the development of local characteristic economic industries and established the development strategy of characteristic economic industries,so as to promote the rapid development of hairy crab industry in Xinghua City.As the largest hairy crab breeding area in China,Xinghua has grown to 855000 mu by June 2021,with a total annual output of 65000 tons and an annual output value of 4.5 billion yuan.In 2021,the annual output value of hairy crabs accounted for 20% of the total agricultural output value of Xinghua City.About 20% of the per capita net income of farmers in Xinghua city came from hairy crabs industry,which has become one of the main sources for farmers to get rid of poverty and get rich.Developing the hairy crab industry in Xinghua is to solve the employment and Entrepreneurship of rural farmers in Xinghua,promote the transformation and upgrading of local rural industries,make the hairy crab industry a "purse" for farmers in Xinghua,and give full play to the important role of the hairy crab industry as a local pillar industry.With the increasing share of hairy crabs in the whole aquatic market,while Xinghua hairy crabs industry becomes stronger and bigger,it also exposes a series of problems such as breeding technology,brand,capital and industrial integration.Through the analysis of the current situation of hairy crab industry,this paper puts forward the corresponding and effective countermeasures for the healthy development of hairy crab industry.Taking Xinghua hairy crab industry as the research object,under the guidance of comparative advantage theory,scale economy theory,industrial cluster theory and agricultural sustainable development theory,this paper makes an in-depth and systematic research on Xinghua hairy crab industry by using the methods of field investigation,literature retrieval and SWOT analysis.On the basis of in-depth research,this paper points out the shortage of professional and technical talents in Xinghua hairy crab industry For the main problems existing in places such as weak awareness of brand construction,incomplete industrial supporting facilities,poor industrial circulation system and insufficient driving of leading enterprises,this paper puts forward countermeasures and suggestions such as increasing industrial talent training,improving industrial brand construction,improving industrial supporting facilities,improving industrial circulation system and dragon head enterprises driving farmers,which will promote the healthy,sustained and high-quality development of hairy crab industry in Xinghua City and consolidate the achievements in poverty alleviation,Promoting the implementation of Rural Revitalization Strategy and the rapid development of rural industry have important practical guiding significance.At the same time,it has an important reference for the development of other similar industries.
