Research On The Current Situation And Development Countermeasures Of Layer Industry In Dafeng District Of Yancheng City

Jiangsu Province is one of the main production areas for layers in China.In 2019,there were 166 million layers and 1.963 million tons of egg production,both ranking 5th in China.Yancheng city is the core production area for layers in Jiangsu Province.The number of breeding hens in Yancheng ranks first in the 13 cities of Jiangsu province.There were 80 million layers in the city and 697,000 tons of egg production,which accounted for 48.19%,35.50%of Jiangsu province in 2019.In 2019,there were 6.105 million layers in Dafeng district of Yancheng city and 54,000 tons of egg production,ranking 8th and 9th in Jiangsu province.The layer industry has an important role in driving agricultural efficiency,promoting farmers’income,and ensuring the supply of "vegetable baskets".The purpose of this paper is to provide valuable reference and suggestions for the healthy development of regional layer industry through the investigation of the current situation and Development Countermeasures of layer industry in Dafeng district.This paper uses sampling survey method to investigate 514 design and storage houses of over 2000 farmers in Dafeng district.Combined with the way of consulting relevant data and literature,this paper focuses on the investigation and analysis of scale breeding,infrastructure supporting,breeding varieties,production technology,main management technology,production and management,and analyzes the development status of egg laying industry in Dafeng district,The problems and constraints of the development of egg laying industry are analyzed.The results showed that the number of layer farmers in Dafeng District decreased by 31.56%compared with 2013,the average stock of farmers increased by 63.13%compared with 2013,and the proportion of 5000-9999 in stock was the highest,and the scale tended to be concentrated significantly;The use of less than 2 mu of self owned land is still the main source of land for layer breeding in Dafeng district;94.2%of the farmers had no veterinary diagnosis room and 84.2%had no special storehouse for vaccine drugs;The proportion of Hailan Brown was the highest,accounting for 37.1%.The market share of domestic self-developed varieties was still low;There is no special reserve chicken farm,and there is no specialized division of labor;The feeding mode was mainly ladder cage,accounting for 80.5%;The feed in laying period was mainly purchased from raw materials,accounting for 95.6%.85.2%of the egg products were sold by vendors;Lack of brand building,only 1.4%of farms have brand;The industrial chain is not perfect,there is no clean egg,deep processing egg production enterprises;The coverage of support funds is narrow,and only five households have received government project funds after 2019.At the same time,this paper analyzes the development potential of Dafeng district’s layer industry,and puts forward some countermeasures to develop the layer industry under the current situation of Dafeng District,such as strengthening the construction of good breeding system,strengthening the innovation of technology integration,accelerating the development of standardized breeding,strengthening the development of the whole industry chain,and ensuring the product quality and safety.
