Clinical Application Of Blood Transfusion Therapy In Canine Anemia

Anemia is one of the common clinical diseases in canine.With high incidence rate and shows an increasing trend year by year.At present,in the clinical treatment of canines with severe anemia symptoms,blood transfusion is mainly used to relieve anemia symptoms,and there is no other effective treatment.Blood transfusion therapy can effectively alleviate the clinical symptoms of canine anemia,and improve the efficacy and cure rate of canine anemia disease.Therefore,there has a great clinical significance to investigate and analyze the application of blood transfusion therapy in the clinical treatment of canine anemia,so as to promote the application of blood transfusion therapy in veterinary clinics.Part Ⅰ To investigate the clinical application of blood transfusion therapy in canine anemia.By collecting 224 clinical cases of canine anemia,the data were classified and analyzed according to the breed,age,sex,dietary habits,etiology,immune status,deworming status,blood routine leukocyte index and C-reactive protein,and then analyzed the relationship between canine anemia and these factors(the breed,age,sex,dietary habits,etiology,immune status,deworming status,blood routine leukocyte index and C-reactive protein).By comparing the treatment results of the two groups(with and without the blood transfusion therapy)we studied the influence of dog’s breed,age,sex,dietary habits,immune condition,insect repellent condition,white blood cells and C-reactive protein on the curative effect and cure rate of canine anemia.We also analyzed the indexes of treating canine hematocrit(PCV)and observed the changes in related indicators after blood transfusion therapy,then analyzed the adverse reactions of transfusion therapy in the treatment of anemia in canines.The results showed that the cure rate was 76.5% in the experimental group and 40.8%in the non-experimental group.The cure rates of the two groups were significantly different.The cure rates of blood transfusion therapy were relatively higher in dogs(aged 1～3 years,male,mainly dog food,blood parasite diseases,regular deworming and immunity,normal white blood cells and C-reactive protein).Blood transfusion therapy significantly increased the hematocrit in dogs with anemia.Most cases can be increased by 5%～10% after 24 hours of blood transfusion,and most cases can be increased by more than 15% after 7 days of blood transfusion.The results confirmed that the probability of transfusion reaction during the treatment of canine anemia disease was low,only 6.3%,and the probability of severe transfusion reaction was only 2.4%.Part Ⅱ To study the effect of blood transfusion on anemia in dogs.Five typical clinical cases of canine anemia were randomly selected for blood transfusion and symptomatic treatment.The number of red blood cells and hematocrit were monitored in the experiment,and the clinical treatment plan was adjusted according to the changes of relevant indicators.The results showed that the blood transfusion therapy could increase the number of red blood cells(RBC),hemoglobin(HGB)and hematocrit(PCV)in dogs in a short period of time,alleviate anemia in the body,and strive for a longer golden treatment time for disease treatment.And significantly improve the clinical efficacy of canine anemia disease.It is concluded that blood transfusion therapy can significantly improve the clinical efficacy and cure rate of canines anemia.It also can be widely promoted and applied in the clinical.
