| With the rapid development of cities,urban community parks have become an important component of urban open spaces and important places for citizens to engage in outdoor activities,however,many urban community parks currently face problems such as unreasonable landscape design,single functionality,and low site utilization.This study focuses on four community parks in the main urban area of Hangzhou,including Jialvyuan Park,Shuyuan Park,Jiangyi Park,and Jinghu Park.Based on user behavior activity data in the parks,field research and VGA analysis method in spatial syntax are used to evaluate and optimize the landscape space of community parks in the main urban area of Hangzhou.The main research findings are as follows:(1)All four community parks exhibit characteristics related to high and low pedestrian flow,types of behavioral activities,and spatial layout of the park’s landscape.The square space and lawn space have a large number of people participating in activities,and facilities such as fitness equipment areas and children’s activity areas have a high appeal to the crowd.The square space is dominated by activities such as dance and fitness;The types of activities in the lawn space are mostly entertainment and gathering activities;The building space and waterfront space mainly focus on recreational and fitness activities.(2)In the space permeability and reachability of the feasible layer of the four community parks,the vision is more limited by the boundary,and the water body has a vision guiding role in space convenience.By constructing a VGA line of sight analysis model,the integration and connectivity values of four community parks were obtained: visible layer>feasible layer,and the average depth of line of sight is:feasible layer>visible layer.The spatial permeability and reachability of the visible layer of the park are higher than the feasible layer,and the average depth of the line of sight of the feasible layer is greater than the visible layer.The water body has a greater impact on the line of sight guidance,and has obvious effect on the identification of the activity site.(3)The spatial layout and creation types of park landscapes are diverse and present different functional characteristics.The layout and creation of landscape spaces such as squares and lawns reflect the spatial distribution function,with high integration and connectivity values,mainly focusing on group behavior;Landscape spaces such as pavilions and corridors reflect the quiet and recreational function of the space,with low integration and connectivity values,mostly due to individual behavior.The basic service facilities of the venue are arranged in a highly integrated space,which basically meets the needs of people’s park recreation,communication,transportation,etc.However,there are also some facilities such as children’s entertainment facilities,fitness equipment,storage,drinking water,etc.that are lacking.(4)Based on the results of on-site investigation and spatial syntax analysis,and based on relevant theories such as organic renewal of urban parks,strategies are proposed to optimize the layout of plant landscapes,enrich diverse site spaces,integrate activity space layout,divide square functional spaces,improve the utilization rate of open lawns,strengthen the static leisure function of building spaces,and improve the experience of waterfront landscape space,in order to better meet residents’ needs for community park landscapes. |
