Literature Review On Derivative Design Of Inherited Huangmei Cross-Stitch

Huangmei cross-stitch belongs to cross-stitch,mending and embroidery in folk embroidery.It is a folk traditional handicraft art widely spread in Hubei,Jiangxi and Anhui provinces.Huangmei cross-stitch has a special stitch method.The needle goes on one side,with one side as "pick" and the two sides as "thorn".In the process of cross-stitch picking,direct pick is adopted,and the original fabric is strengthened in the final effect,so that the cross-stitch and fabric effect can be better presented.However,with the rapid development of information,Huangmei cross-stitch is still in the stage of being passed down from generation to generation in China.The way of inheritance and transmission is too simple,which greatly affects the protection and inheritance of Huangmei cross-stitch.In order to promote the inheritance and development of Huangmei cross-stitch embroidery,a folk handicraft,and meet the needs of today’s people,this paper takes Huangmei cross-stitch embroidery as the research object of this paper,takes user research as the starting point,extracts the elements of Huangmei cross-stitch,integrates the beautiful implication of this embroidery element into the design of derivative products,and makes Huangmei cross-stitch embroidery,a derivative product,adapt to the development of The Times.Through the actual investigation of Huangmei cross-stitch in Huangmei County,the development of Huangmei cross-stitch was investigated.From the perspective of user research,this paper clarified the inheritance and protection of Huangmei cross-stitch and the new ideas of innovation and development.By means of research,online questionnaire and interview,we have gained an understanding of users’ needs and recorded their requirements and pain points for derivative products in daily life.By using symbolic derivative products of Huangmei cross-stitch,we can meet users’ needs,which not only makes it possible to inherit and spread the intangible cultural heritage of Huangmei cross-stitch,but also serves as a cultural medium for us to know Huangmei cross-stitch.At the same time,we keep up with the pace of The Times,and understand the needs of users,so that design practice becomes the medium of communication.In this paper,a deep demand model of Huangmei cross-stitch users is constructed by combining questionnaire survey with user interview,which has great guiding significance for the communication of Huangmei cross-stitch culture,realizing the transition from the non-material culture that cannot be inherited and spread to the intangible culture that keeps pace with The Times,and meeting the growing material and cultural needs of the people.On this basis,this paper takes Huangmei cross-stitch as the research object and user research as the starting point,captures the heritage significance of Huangmei cross-stitch.Through user research,the symbols of Huangmei cross-stitch are incorporated into the design of derivative products to meet the needs of users,and substantial progress is made in the innovation of Huangmei cross-stitch,making the design of derivative products of Huangmei cross-stitch adapt to The Times.
