| The Hancheng region has been a cultural gathering place since ancient times, with a long history and culture, and a dense collection of traditional villages. In the 1990 s,our school’s teachers Zhou Ruoqi and Japanese scholars formed a joint investigation team between China and Japan, conducting multiple investigations and studies on typical villages in the Hancheng area, and writing the book "Hancheng Villages and Dang Family Villages".With the thirty years of rural construction from 1990 to 2020 and the acceleration of urbanization,China’s rural areas have undergone tremendous changes, especially in recent years when the rural revitalization strategy has been vigorously implemented. The appearance of villages has taken on a new look, and the new modern elements and historical traditional elements in villages conflict with each other, resulting in the coexistence of new and old elements, leading to significant changes in the spatial form of villages.During this process, the development and changes in the natural environment, residential culture, and architectural style of villages in the Hancheng area have exposed corresponding problems and difficulties.Villages also exhibit hollowing out phenomena and face potential decline risks. Therefore, targeted research is needed. The research in this article is based on the survey and research results of teachers such as Zhou Ruoqi from our school in the last century,as well as the existing research results of the studios Yuan Yiting and Liao Meng.In order to accurately predict and evaluate the future development trends and directions of different types of rural areas, this article further fully investigates and studies the current situation of rural areas in Hancheng, aiming to promote the classification of rural types and strengthen special research on vertical evolution of rural areas.According to the classification and promotion of rural revitalization proposed by the country, the rural revitalization plan of Hancheng City takes four different approaches to reconstruct rural types based on the existing 166 administrative villages, including cluster upgrading,urban-rural integration, characteristic protection, and relocation and merger of four types of villages. This study focuses on the characteristic protected villages in the Hancheng area.Based on the data from the Sino Japanese joint inspection mission in the 1990 s,combined with follow-up data such as visiting data, remote sensing images, and aerial photographs obtained from field investigations, and based on theoretical research on urban and rural morphology and typology at home and abroad,a description system suitable for the spatial evolution of characteristic protected villages in the Hancheng region was constructed using the evolutionary method: "natural environment+planar form+settlement mode",The research object is divided into new old separation type, new old adjacency type, new old fusion type, new old replacement type and other village types based on the coexistence of new and old in the process of village evolution.Under the background of rural revitalization strategy, the spatial form evolution of characteristic protected villages in Hancheng area from 1990 to 2020 is studied and analyzed.Firstly, conduct a survey, summary, and classification of the background and overview of characteristic protected villages in the Hancheng region;Secondly, construct a system of village spatial forms and conduct research on the evolution of typical village sample spatial forms by type;Thirdly, conduct research on the evolution laws and dynamic mechanisms of village spatial morphology.Through the above research, the general and individual laws of the overall evolution of village morphology in the Hancheng area have been sorted out, further summarizing the spatial evolution laws of characteristic protected villages in the Hancheng area and evaluating the future development trends of village morphology. Finally, based on the research results, summarize the problems and difficulties in the spatial evolution of characteristic protected villages in the Hancheng area, and propose targeted strategies for the protection and development of spatial forms of various types of villages in the future. |
