With SMACIT(Social,Mobile,Analytics,Cloud)deepening and people’s living standards,residents’ average disposable income,family housing size and housing conditions are expanding and better,the decoration industry in high-end customers are increasing,and the requirements of work quality and time for a project to upgrade,especially in first-tier cities.However,the service of China’s home decoration industry are still in the initial stage,the organization and management efficiency is not high,the project progress delays frequent,and it is difficult to meet the high-end owners’ higher level of construction period requirement.Therefore,to find out the crux of the project delay,to apply the right medicine,to achieve the qualitative improvement of the project progress management,is conducive to the healthy and sustainable development of the decoration industry.S Company is a leading decoration firm in the home decoration industry.It has been settling in the home decoration industry for more than 20 years.After several iterations,it has its own competitive advantages as well as disadvantages.This paper hopes to serve the sustainable development vision of enterprises through the optimization of progress management in construction projects.Through the in-depth interviews in the early stage and the exploration of the questionnaire results,we found that the reasons for the delay of project progress of S home improvement enterprises are as follows: first,the progress management is not scientific enough and lack effective progress preparation method;second,the design drawings are not relevant to the practical construction;third,the progress management lacks the effective supervision and supervision mechanism;fourth,the quality and efficiency level of progress management needs to be improved,which affects the project progress,which is not conducive to the development of the company and the construction of public praise.Taking S International Design and Decoration Engineering Co.,Ltd.as a research example,supported by the schedule management theory and the life-cycle management theory.First,we use the PEST model to analyze the impact of the enterprise external environment.Use the core competitiveness analysis to summarize the competitive advantage of enterprises in the overall environment;secondly,through telephone interviews with company leaders,project managers and other managers,combined with the interview results,an online questionnaire survey was conducted on the related personnel of its internal projects,detailed understanding and analysis of the reasons for the project progress delay of S Company;Then make a quantitative analysis of the questionnaire results,reliability and the validity analysis and the factor analysis,demonstrated its influencing factors;Finally,as for the cause of the progress delay,construct the schedule management optimization scheme of S company by combining the schedule management theory and the life cycle theory;In addition,the corresponding implementation guarantee is proposed and the shortcomings of this paper are discussed.This paper aims at helping S Company to find the cause of progress delay and put forward suggestions on progress management optimization,help S Company to improve the status of progress management,improve the core competitiveness,and promote the rapid and efficient development of S Company.
