The Lingnan region is one of China’s revolutionary holy sites and has abundant resources of red culture.Inheriting the issues emphasized by the central government regarding red culture,the Lingnan region has seen the government take the lead in introducing many red cultural products.However,with the rapid development of multi-channel online platforms,some of the red cultural products in the Lingnan region are lagging behind the trend of the times and are unable to achieve further inheritance and innovation of Lingnan red culture.This article,as a dissemination assistance project of the Guangdong Red Culture Research Association,aims to enrich the application design of Lingnan red culture from the perspective of multi-channel online platforms through a series of design works.The ultimate goal is to promote the inheritance and innovation of Lingnan red culture and endow it with a contemporary character.Through literature research,market research,field investigations,and other methods,this study summarizes the shortcomings of current Lingnan red cultural products and proposes new design directions.Subsequently,by summarizing the characteristics and advantages of multi-channel online platforms in China and combining design theories,corresponding design plans are formulated.Ultimately,a complete set of design products is formed,encompassing brand design,multi-channel online application design,and innovative product application design in categories such as We Chat Mini Program interface design,online TV app design,and derivative product design.It is hoped that this research will provide assistance to the Guangdong Red Culture Research Association and the cause of red cultural inheritance in the Lingnan region,as well as serve as a reference for future red cultural design from the perspective of multi-channel online platforms.In the future,it will be possible to better leverage the advantages of multi-channel online platforms to promote the inheritance and innovation of Lingnan red culture and provide more insights for the field of red cultural product design.
