With the rapid development of the national economy and the acceleration of urbanization,the urban population increases constantly.Public transportation is making up an increasing proportion in people’s daily travel.Problems caused by the transfer between urban rail and routine bus are amplified,and transfer plaza between public transportations is becoming increasingly important.The improvement of transportation design for transfer plaza can increase their efficiency in passenger distribution.In addition,a reasonable and effective evaluation of transfer plaza is an important step in identifying existing problems.First,based on literature research and field research,concepts on transfer between urban rail and routine bus were studied.Locations of rail transit transfer stations and transfer modes between rail transit and routine bus were discussed.Based on before-mentioned,influencing factors on transfer were analyzed from three aspects: spatial layout and traffic organization of the transfer plaza,matching degree between station bus network.Second,design on transportation and space organization,as well as information-oriented identification of transfer plaza were conducted.Design methods and requirements for transportation and space organization of transfer plazas were proposed.Further,key points for design of guiding information in transfer plaza were analyzed.Third,seven indicators were extracted based on four basic guidelines which are systematization,scientificity,measurability and comparability,along with four aspects for transfer plaza: comfort,coordination,convenience,and safety.At the same time,weights of the above seven indicators were allocated scientifically and reasonably through the coefficient of difference method basing on Analytic Hierarchy Process,Entropy Weight Method,and Entropy Weight TOPSIS Method in order to ensure the authenticity and validity of the evaluation results.Through consistency and dimensionless treatment of these indicators,the uniformity of the indicator types was guaranteed and the influence of the numerical orders and units in the original indicators was eliminated.Finally,in order to confirm practicality of the theories proposed in this paper,optimization and evaluation of traffic design for Suzhou railway station urban rail transit and routine bus transfer plaza were analyzed as an example.The research results can explore the existing problems in the transportation design of transfer plaza between urban rail and routine bus as well as provide corresponding improvement plans.
