| Contact with nature plays an important role in promoting the all-round development of children.With the continuous progress of urbanization,children’s outdoor play time and space are decreasing,and the connection between children and nature is gradually weakening.In recent years,domestic and foreign scholars have recognized that building natural children’s play spaces is an important way to achieve the reconstruction of the connection between children and nature.In the current era of transition from incremental development to stock renewal,it is particularly important to design natural transformation of existing children’s play spaces,and urban renewal actions provide the possibility for optimizing the transformation of children’s play spaces in current urban parks with outdated facilities and unreasonable designs.The current theory of children’s play spaces is relatively mature,and many design methods and strategies for natural children’s play spaces have been proposed.With the attention paid to the needs of children under the construction of a child friendly city,the renovation design of children’s play spaces in urban parks has been promoted.Policy guidelines have been issued successively,emphasizing the need to guide children to interact with nature.However,there is relatively little coverage of natural style design,and there is still a lack of systematic theoretical guidance on how to carry out natural style renovation design for existing children’s play spaces.In terms of practical research,it is mostly focused on first tier cities.When analyzing the current situation of children’s play spaces,more attention is paid to the degree of use of evaluation content and the differences between whether there are or not.There is no in-depth research on how to transform and design existing children’s play spaces.Based on the above background,this study focuses on non-first-tier cities to explore the transformation and design strategies of children’s play space in urban parks under the background of the new era,so as to provide more opportunities for children to contact nature during play.In this thesis,the children’s play space in five city parks in Xuzhou city was investigated,and the current situation of children’s play space was summarized.Use tools to measure nature connectedness and analyze the level of nature connectedness in children.The study found that there are some problems in children’s play space,such as traditional and single rides,lack of naturalness,and lack of supporting infrastructure.Some children’s nature connectedness level needs to be improved.Based on the above investigation and research on children’s play space and children’s groups,combined with relevant theories and practical cases,this thesis proposes five targeted design strategies for children’s play space in Xuzhou City Park: improve the "front,middle and back" supporting infrastructure of children’s play;on the premise of security,reasonably develop the landscape boundary of the play space;based on natural elements,design rides with natural elements as the main focus and rich natural and wild charm;create unstructured natural play scenes to release children’s "nature";expand the functions of natural Elements and focus on vertical design;establish diversified fund guarantee mechanism and scientific management.Finally,the research results are applied to the children’s play space of Liyuan Road Park in Xuzhou city.After a comprehensive analysis of the current situation of the venue and the needs of the users,a natural transformation design was carried out for the children’s play space,with the goal of creating a children’s play space that can guide children into nature and significantly enhance their nature connectedness.This practical study provides practical suggestions and guidance on how to carry out natural transformation design for children’s play spaces in urban parks. |
