Research On Natural Children Activity Space Design Of Urban Park

Children are the future of our country and society. Nowadays, with the increasing development of the science and technology, more and more urban children have less opportunity to contact with nature. Some of them even are suffered from psychological disorders, like the Nature Deficit Disorder, the Bio-phobia, and so on. There is no doubt that these diseases have much negative impact on children in cities. The aim of this research is to offer guidance for realizing high quality natural children activity space in urban park which would allow children close to nature even in big city to build ideal urban green space for children to grow healthily with little psychological illness, imagination enlightened, and strong bodies. The Thesis mainly includes the following five parts:① Children activity space design research and the nature of children are argued simultaneously for the background and research significance of the natural children activity space.② Theory progress and classic cases of outdoor children activity space in China and abroad. Psychological development, experience mode, and natural feedback of children in nature are discussed.③ On the basis of numerous scientific filed observation experiments of children’s activity and distribution in different types of activity space, data analysis, and data visualization, the influence of different types of natural and non-natural on children’s behavior is presented with conclusions.④According to the literature review, experimental process analysis and conclusions, children activity space is classified into natural type and non-natural type. The natural one includes completely natural type and semi natural type. The specific classification standards and bases are discussed.In accordance with the experimental results and classification methods, details of the scientific design methods of different types of natural children activity place of urban park are elaborated with the summarized artistic expression. Finally suitable plants for children activity space are selected and analyzed, and the safety design of natural children activity space is concluded.
