With the rapid development of Chinese society and the accelerating pace of urban life, urban residents focus more attention on the quality of life.Nowadays, the quality of urban life is no longer limited to simple life patterns such as food and clothing, but more turns to physical and mental health and aesthetic culture. The pedestrian space of urban parks is closely related to the leisure life of urban residents after work.It has functions of recreation, cultural inheritance, regional image display and so on,and is the main bearer of outdoor leisure of urban residents. In recent years, the topic of health has become increasingly popular in the daily life of urban residents, and the residents’ pursuit of physical and mental health is constantly improving. One of the main ways to promote physical and mental health in daily life is to conduct personal or family leisure activities in a good outdoor environment. However,at present, the pedestrian space of Nanchang city park is mostly traditional design.Under the premise that the types and intensity of residents’ outdoor activities are constantly improving, problems such as road network conflicts between different activities, insufficient quality of leisure space and low vitality of space nodes often appear. Therefore, this paper will explore the optimization strategy of walking space in healthy urban parks oriented by residents’ activity needs, hoping to improve the service quality and health performance of walking space in parks.Through literature research and practical research,it is found that the existing pedestrian space design strategies of urban parks mostly start from the fields of place construction and ergonomics, but ignore the health driving factors of residents’ outdoor activities. In this paper, the physical and mental health needs of urban residents for outdoor activities are analyzed through field research and interview,so as to analyze the correlation between outdoor activity needs and elements of walking space. The elements of walking space are divided based on residents’ activity needs, hierarchy theory of needs and logic of space composition, and the importance proportion of elements is analyzed through questionnaire data collection and mathematical model. The elements of walking space are divided into six aspects: activity performance, space security, environmental comfort, landscape appreciation, emotional recognition and service convenience. Finally, taking Nanchang Bayi Park as an example, the theoretical research is carried out in practice, and the design principles and optimization strategies of urban park walking space from the perspective of outdoor activities demand are proposed. The core research objective of this paper is to improve the service quality of walking space in urban parks based on the demand for outdoor activities, improve the health benefits of outdoor activities, explore how to improve the attraction of walking space in parks by optimizing the walking system in parks, and improve the physical and mental health index of urban residents by attracting them to do outdoor activities. This paper consists of 6 chapters:Chapter 1 is the introduction, which mainly includes the research background, purpose and significance of urban park walking space from the perspective of outdoor activities, the definition of related concepts of walking space, the research content, methods and technical framework.Chapter 2 is a brief introduction of the research status and related theories of walking space design at home and abroad, mainly for the study of the impact of walking space environment and components on the physical and mental health of residents, and puts forward the reference significance of the hierarchy of needs theory, place construction, behavioral psychology and other theories.Chapter 3,through field research and in-depth interview, analyzes the current characteristics and causes of walking space in parks of Nanchang City, explores the significance of walking space in parks to residents’ outdoor activities and health needs, and initially defines six components of walking space in parks, including activity performance, space security, environmental comfort, landscape appreciation, emotional recognition and service convenience. In chapter 4,the characteristics and demand-driving factors of residents’ outdoor activities are obtained through questionnaires and interviews, and the correlation between urban residents’ outdoor activities and the components of walking space is analyzed, and the specific observation elements of the components of walking space from the perspective of outdoor activity needs are established. In Chapter 5,DANP-SEM method is used to explore the influence ratio of factors influencing walking space on outdoor activity demand, and the importance ratio of 6 latent variables and 24 observed variables is established through mathematical analysis, which provides the data basis for proposing the optimization strategy of walking space in the following paper.Chapter 6 explores the design principles and optimization strategies of Nanchang Bayi Park from the perspective of outdoor activity needs, solves the current problems of walking space of Nanchang Bayi Park from the empirical analysis, applies the universality theory to the optimization cases of walking space with independent characteristics, the theory falls behind practice, and aims to provide theoretical contact and reference for the construction of urban park walking space. |
