Micro-updating Perspective On Urban Design Research Of Block Small-scale Space Reconstruction

The urban construction of our country gradually enters the stock renewal stage by the rapid increment development.The total amount of urban space has gradually become saturated,urban space design by extensive expansion of capacity,to fine micro-update development.As the basic component unit of urban material space,block is the most direct and perceptible part of urban public space.Under the background of micro-renewal and fine design,the renewal and optimization of block space has become an important content to improve the quality of urban space and urban style.As a long-standing and neglected space unit,small-scale space is an important carrier of residents’ daily life and social activities.In the construction of urban public space,the residents’ behavior demand and space activity demand are often neglected,which leads to the unbalance of urban space scale and the homogeneity of street style.It is an important measure to explore the renewal focal point and reconstruction strategy of small-scale space,which can supplement the missing public space level,improve the quality of public space in the block,and stimulate residents’ activities in various forms,contribute to the creation of quality space and the revitalization of the neighborhood.This paper takes the micro-renewal as the angle of view,taking the Shengli Street of the South Square as the research object,using the methods of literature research,on-the-spot investigation,qualitative and Quantitative analysis research,etc..The first chapter proposes the research contents and methods according to the research background,domestic and foreign research summary.In chapter two,the concepts of micro-renewal and small-scale space are analyzed,and the renewal law of small-scale space is summarized through the study of domestic and foreign practice cases,five types and five renewal elements of small-scale space are introduced.The third chapter is the focus of this paper: from the street pattern of Shengli Street,road scale,functional types and residents’ behavior and other status quo research,using qualitative and quantitative research methods,this paper probes into the types and characteristics of the small-scale space of Shengli Street,and sums up the present situation of Shengli Street.The fourth chapter is the renewal practice of the small-scale space of Shengli Street,which uses the method of urban design research to propose the optimization strategies for five types of small-scale space based on the renewal objectives and principles of the small-scale space,the final results of the design.
