| Under the backdrop of global changes,local conflicts,the COVID-19 pandemic,and Industry 4.0,the digital economy has become a critical force for countries to recover their economies and seize competitive advantages.Digital transformation is crucial to the development of the global digital economy,and all industries urgently need to undergo digital transformation to adapt to market changes.China’s automobile industry has proposed the "CASE"(Connected,Autonomous,Shared,Electric)strategy,and the traditional automobile industry value chain has changed.Car companies need to achieve value chain restructuring through digital transformation to respond to industry trends.Therefore,studying the impact of digital transformation on sustainable development and business performance can accumulate experience for relevant academic research and provide useful reference opinions for companies in digital transformation practices.This study takes SAIC as an example to discuss the impact of its digital transformation on enterprise performance.Firstly,this paper explains the reason for selecting SAIC Group as the case study object and briefly introduces SAIC Group.Then,it summarizes the digital transformation foundation,transformation motivation,and transformation path of SAIC Group.Secondly,it analyzes and evaluates the digital transformation performance of SAIC Group from two aspects: financial and nonfinancial indicators.The study found that SAIC Group,through the implementation of the "CASE" strategy,led the digital transformation of the automobile manufacturing industry,seized the strategic high ground of digital transformation,and realized the transformation from "traditional manufacturing enterprises" to "service-oriented manufacturing enterprises." Digital transformation helped SAIC Group shift from a "product-centric" approach to a "customer-centric" approach,enhancing its potential for sustainable development.At the same time,digital transformation has had a significant positive impact on SAIC’s financial index performance,reducing costs and expenses,expanding profit margins,optimizing enterprise operating capabilities and bringing high growth capabilities.In addition,SAIC Group adopted measures such as quality management optimization,human resource optimization,innovation capability enhancement,and brand influence enhancement to comprehensively improve nonfinancial indicator performance and enhance its core competitiveness and development potential.In practice,digital transformation should be integrated into the company’s overall development strategy,focusing on customer-centricity,starting from solving practical business problems,covering all areas of the company,actively responding to market competition,and leading industry development.At the same time,strengthening deep integration with other companies and upstream and downstream partners in the industrial chain,building an open industrial ecosystem,and achieving win-win development are also worthy of attention. |
