Research On The Value Of Folk Belief Space To The Development Of Settlements

Against the backdrop of the gradual decline of traditional villages,the spiritual connotations carried by traditional villages can still be preserved and inherited in various forms.On the one hand,as the carrier of the spiritual culture of the population,the village records the historical evolution process in the physical space of the village,and then shapes the quality and character of the village through education;On the other hand,villagers inherit and promote the traditional culture of the village through generations and oral transmission.Due to the fact that spiritual culture is rooted in people’s thinking habits and daily life,its evolution and development are relatively stable.Therefore,even in the trend of gradually hollowing out traditional villages today,the traditional culture of villages and the spiritual connotations of villagers continue to be inherited in the process of historical evolution.Based on this,the important issue of traditional village protection and development requires attention not only to the protection and preservation of village material space,but also to the inheritance and promotion of village traditional culture and spiritual core.The traditional villages in the Wei County area of Zhangjiakou are mostly village fortresses built due to war or the development of commercial routes.Their development period and reasons for construction are very special.The war caused the ancestors to place their hopes for life on the gods,and the culture of commercial routes gave the ancestors’ beliefs strong practicality and secularity.Therefore,folk belief culture highlights the spiritual thoughts of the ancestors of the village fortress,and folk belief space has become an important component that cannot be ignored in the village fortress of Yuxian.When studying traditional villages in Yuxian County,taking into account the elements of folk beliefs and studying their value for villages can provide more targeted protection and development models and strategies for traditional villages in Yuxian County.This study takes the folk belief space of traditional villages in Yuxian County as the research object,analyzes the role of folk belief space in the construction and evolution of village fortresses,selects some representative traditional villages in Yuxian County as research samples,combs folk belief ritual activities in traditional villages,and observes the behavior of users of folk belief space through field research,questionnaire statistics,semantic analysis and other methods,Count the feelings and evaluations of the population towards space,and finally focus on the value research of folk belief space in historical protection,cultural inheritance,and tourism development,in order to explore the protection and development path and direction of such exclusive traditional villages.
