| Urban public space is the most exciting and thrilling part of urban life.As an important place for people to step out of their private space and their comfort zone, public space assumes the important function of connecting people’s interaction activities and realizing public life. However,in China’s cities today, there are problems such as loss of vitality of public space, lack of refined design and safety hazards, which are not conducive to urban development and healthy living of citizens. As the living room of the city, the city street is the most important and largest public space in the built-up area of the city. Therefore,it is important to study the scientific issue of "how to improve the vitality of street space, promote human interaction, realize the transformation of traffic streets to humanized streets, and thus build ideal urban street space".The current research on streets mostly starts from the physical space, quantifies the single or multiple attributes of streets, and relatively lacks humanistic care. Therefore, this paper takes the interrelationship between urban street space and human behavior patterns as the starting point, and aims to explore the public space of streets more comprehensively by using a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods.Firstly, this paper examines the theories related to urban street space and behavior patterns and analyzes the interrelationship between them, summarizes the formation and development of streets, analyzes the existing types and characteristics of urban streets, sorts out the typical behavior and basic needs of people in urban street space, and elaborates the subjective and objective factors affecting behavior and the components of street space.Secondly,we studied the theory and method of post-use evaluation, referred to relevant research results, reasonably selected evaluation indexes, and used hierarchical analysis to initially construct a post-use satisfaction evaluation index system of urban street space from three aspects:physical space environment, functional service demand, and social operation and management, and screened and optimized the proposed indexes by questionnaire and SPSS reliability analysis, and finally The evaluation system consists of 9 sub-criteria level indicators and 24 corresponding evaluation factors. Then, the expert scoring method was used to assign values to the judgment matrix of each level to obtain the weight value results, and the consistency test was conducted to obtain the total weight value ranking of each evaluation index to the overall target, and the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method was used to transform the descriptive qualitative evaluation in the questionnaire into the numerical quantitative evaluation. Finally, taking Guanghua Avenue in Wenjiang District of Chengdu City as an example,we analyze its current situation and use the behavior map method, questionnaire survey method and interview method to investigate the behavior pattern and evaluate the satisfaction after using the street in terms of user behavior type and distribution, and get more objective evaluation results. On this basis, the current problems were analyzed and summarized, and six strategies for optimizing urban street space in terms of space design, business configuration, demand function, public facilities, traffic planning, and regional culture were proposed to provide scientific help for future street space construction.Through the post-use evaluation of urban street space from the perspective of human behavior pattern,we propose a quality improvement plan for the spatial environment of Guanghua Avenue in Wenjiang District,Chengdu City,to enhance the effectiveness of street space use and user experience, and to provide some reference and practical basis for the research of urban street space related fields. |
