| Performance management theories have been innovating over time with constant changes of enterprises development patterns.It is essential for enterprises to adopt appropriate performance management approaches in terms of their actual demands,and thus to stimulate internal talent growth and enhance core competitiveness as there is no general method for all enterprises.Z company is a national high-tech enterprise specializing in engineering testing,geotechnical investigation and design,monitoring,consulting and more with some recognized qualifications.The 12-year-old company possesses a certain business scale but its internal performance management is not perfect with deficiencies,which limits its further growth.In Z company,engineering testing technicians are critical part of its core business.Therefore,this paper focuses on the performance management optimization for Z company’s engineering testing technicians,hoping to provide examples and references for many of these companies.On the basis of existing performance management theories and methods used by most companies,this research adopts interviews,surveys and other research methods to have an overall understanding of the characteristics and status of Z company’s performance management for its engineering testing technicians.And then it gives analysis of the existing problems and causes for existing performance management.It was found that the performance management of Z company for the engineering testing department was not truly implemented as planned.And the performance management of each professional testing department was not standardized enough.Given the specific management mode of professional testing departments and processes of engineering testing programs in Z company,this paper proposes an optimized performance management scheme for this company,and supporting measures to ensure performance management implementation. |
