The product quality of rail components,which seriously affects the travel safety of passengers;Once the operations of the train is affected by the poor quality of rail components,it will not only bring some economic losses to the owners and society,but also have a serious negative impact on the brand image of parts manufacturers;In the severe market competition,rail parts enterprises must ensure product quality,through continuous quality improvement and high level product quality to get a good reputation,grasp the market opportunities.This paper mainly focuses on the F company’s product quality improvement of the train traction system products in the rail transit industry.based on the theoretical basis of total quality management,supplier quality management,quality risk management theory and business process reengineering;The Juran Trilogy as the improvement guidance and PDCA as the quality improvement method,this paper finds the main problems affecting the product quality through the collection and analysis of the product quality data of F company;combined with the in-depth analysis of the current situation of F company’s quality management and business process,find the main reasons affecting the product quality,classify them,and formulate targeted solutions,through the optimization of F company business processes to achieve the supplier material quality,process quality and R&D quality improvement,and finally improve product quality level,reduce the quality loss cost and improve customer satisfaction.The research results show that according to the total quality management theory,process improvement and system optimization from the three dimensions of supplier quality management,R&D quality management and process quality management,the average customer field quarterly failure rate of F company’s products decreased by 2%,the average annual external quality loss cost of each project was reduced by more than 100,000 yuan,and customer satisfaction increased from an average of 86 points to 91 points.this study is expected to provide some guiding value for the improvement of client product quality of F company and enterprises in the same industry,and help enterprises improve product quality and customer satisfaction.
