| With the gradual integration of the global economy,as the window of foreign trade of a country or region, the port plays an important role.It not only increases the international trade and cultural exchanges between countries and regions, but also drives the economic development of hinterland cities directly.Western countries started research and put it into practice as early as 30 years of the last century.Although China started late,it has become more aware of the importance of international trade to its economic development since the reform, and has increased its investment and construction in ports.Tianjin port, located in the Bohai Bay,has developed rapidly in recent years, becoming the largest port in the north, providing good natural geographical conditions for its direct hinterland-Beijing Tianjin and Hebei region. At the same time,on the basis of national policy encouragement,Beijing Tianjin Hebei region has continuously optimized the industrial structure and increased import and export trade, which has also promoted the increase of port throughput and the improvement of facilities.Based on the regional economic theory and port economics, this paper selects Tianjin port throughput, berth number and economic indicators of Beijing.Tianjin and Hebei(GDP and growth index, residents’ consumption level, import and export value)as the research object.First, the official data are used to analyze the development trend of each indicator over the years, and then the regression analysis method is used to study the correlation and influence between the two.The results show that they are interrelated and interactive.Tianjin berth plays a more significant role in promoting the economy of Beijing Tianjin Hebei region; There are still gaps in the development of Beijing Tianjin Hebei region, and its driving effect on ports is relatively weak, especially in Hebei. Finally,it puts forward policy suggestions on how to better promote the sustainable and stable development of both. |
