Research On Innovation Mechanism Of Business Model Driven By Technology Strategy

Technology strategy is an important emerging research field of technology management.Only through appropriate business models can technological innovation achievements finally realize economic value.Various R&D achievements and new technologies emerge in endlessly,but few enterprises can successfully commercialize new technologies and create expected value.Studying how enterprises continuously drive enterprise business model innovation based on technology strategy will help to realize more high-tech marketization,enrich the business model transformation mechanism brought by new technology.It will provide theoretical guidance for the practice of enterprise business model innovation,and provide inspiration for the development of enterprises dominated by technology strategy.Under the background that the country advocates promoting the application and industrialization of scientific and technological achievements in the medical device industry,the multinational medical device company A,the world’s most successful manufacturer of surgical robots,was selected as the research case.From the perspective of technology strategy,using the literature research method and vertical single case study method,this paper analyzes the path of technology strategy driven business model innovation of Company A in the three development stages of start-up,expansion and ecological period,refines the mechanism of technology strategy driven business model innovation,summarizes the reasons for the success of technology strategy driven business model innovation of Company A,and puts forward suggestions on technology strategy driven business model innovation.Through the study of this paper,the following conclusions are drawn:the formulation of enterprise’s technology strategy should fully consider the enterprise’s own conditions and external environment:The mechanism of technology strategy driving business model innovation:technology strategy—resource integration—business model innovation.That is.the formulation and implementation of technology strategy will enable enterprises to integrate internal and external resources,form new competitiveness and profit points,and then cause changes in business model elements,forming new business models;The main reasons for the success of company A’s technology strategy driven business model are summarized;Put forward suggestions on technology strategy driving enterprise business model innovation,including paying attention to technology innovation and patent protection,giving play to the leading role of the management team,and selecting a way suitable for its industry to integrate resources in order to get twice the result with half the effort.
